I wish I had a Rite Aid and Shop Rite! That was pretty awesome!
hey suz--so for rite aid SCRs, the $25 GC is based on what you actually spend; the free ones don't count to your total?
Thanks for the tips on the Natures Bounty.
I was told by a manager at Wags today that you aren't supposed to be able to use a RR and a coupon together and that you can't use RR's on items that are less than the value of the RR's and on and on. I have never heard any of this crap before. Do you know if any of it is true? I will be going to the Wags website to investigate the official coupon policies.
News,
ShopRite is local to this area, but maybe they'll build a RiteAid near you!
Queen,
Yup, that's what I was told on HCW. If the rebate had been, buy 6 items and get blah blah blah, then all 6 would have counted (even the free ones), but since you have to spend a certain dollar amount, only the ones you pay for will count towards that total.
Queenbuv3,
Walgreens can be tricky sometimes. If you're buying an item and using a coupon on that item, you'd need to pick up a second item as a filler to also use a RR. This is because the RR's attach themselves to an item the way coupons do. So you can't use a coupon and RR on one item. It doesn't matter how much that second item is - it could cost you one penny. The manager might have been misinformed on that. Hope that helps!
I know about using fillers. He was saying that I can't use a colgate toothpaste coupon and say a $1 RR even if I buy a filler item so I have two "coupons" (one RR and one manufacturer because RR's are technically manufacturer coupons, according to him) to buy 2 items. AND, that you can't use RR's to pay for items that will print an RR (even if say the RR is from P&G and you are using for a Unilever product).
He told me that if I buy 3 items that total $25, for example, you can't buy one item that is $24 and two items that are $0.50 and use, for example, 2 $10 RR's and one for $5. He said that the value of each RR's cannot exceed the price of each item. He said that the system will LET YOU but it isn't supposed to and that they need to fix it!!!
Nope, he's totally wrong. If he continues to tell you that, you might want to call the district manager to set him straight.
