Yee-Haw!

December Monthly Totals:
Merchandise Total (before coupons): $1,610.25
Value of Coupons & Store Sales: $768.04
Tax: $44.52
Average % Saved: 48.06%
Rewards/Gift Cards/ECB's Used: $631.87
Rewards/Gift Cards/ECB's Earned: $580.92
Rebates: $163.76
Total Cost to me (after rewards earned and rebates): $142.05
Total Profit: $113.18
# of Items: 417
# of Free Items: 281

Not too shabby. Definitely not as good as last month's totals when my cost was around $1 - that was nice. :)

And now, just for fun, let's look at how I did for the whole year. Keep in mind I started hounding in March, and started keeping track of everything in my current format in April. So these numbers are for April - December.

Value of Coupons & Store Sales: $6,258.25
Rewards/Gift Cards/ECB's Used: $3,307.44
Rewards/Gift Cards/ECB's Earned: $3,029.84
Rebates: $1,482.95
Total Cost to me (after rewards earned and rebates): $1,236.11
Total Profit: $964.47
# of Items: 3,872
# of Free Items: 2,371

OMG, you rock !! I have to ask a totally stupid question...how do you calulate all this, especially the store savings? I always end up forgetting the retail price before sale and making my savings lower than they are because I'm only basing it on Qs and sale price. What is your system, did I miss it in a post? Thanks! Karen

But to answer your specific question, when I can remember, I'll use the non-sale price. CVS's receipts usually tell you. If I can't remember, I just write down the price I paid. So really, my Merchandise Total totals should be higher I guess.
