My Gift Card Reloaded!

Finally! I've been waiting and waiting so I could make use of the great deal Walgreens is running through Saturday - spend $25 on anything (before coupons) and get back a $5 RR! With a little help from dancinmama's scenarios, here's what I got:

Transaction One (I did these at 2 different stores)
  • L'oreal Age Perfect Pro-Calcium Radiance Perfector (1.7 oz.) $19.99, used $1 coupon (10/19 SS, there are $2 coupons in the 10/5 RP, I used mine up already) and will get back $21.98 ($19.99 + 10% bonus, ESR - leftover from last month, probably not on the list of December rebates but it will still go through) = $2.99 profit
  • Dry Idea Clinical Strength deodorant (can also get Right Guard Professional Strength) $5.99 - sale price this week, will get back $5.50 ($5 + 10% bonus, ESR #2) = $0.49
  • Bald Guyz Moisture Gel 4 oz. $4.99, will get back $4.99 (ESR #1) = FREE
  • 3 travel packs Walgreens tissues $0.29 each (fillers so I could use RR's)
  • Used four $6 RR's, total was $9, got back $5 RR for spending $25 - overall profit $4.97

Transaction Two

  • L'oreal Age Perfect Pro-Calcium Radiance Perfector (1.7 oz.) $19.99, used $1 coupon (10/19 SS) and will get back $21.98 ($19.99 + 10% bonus, ESR) = $2.99 profit
  • Dry Idea Clinical Strength deodorant (can also get Right Guard Professional Strength) $5.99 - sale price this week, will get back $5.50 ($5 + 10% bonus, ESR #2) = $0.49
  • 3 travel packs Walgreens tissues $0.29 each (fillers so I could use RR's)
  • Used four $6 RR's, total was $3, got back $5 RR for spending $25 - overall profit $4.82

Transaction Three

  • 4 Wal-itin (Walgreens brand of Claritin, 10 ct.) $7.99 each, used in-circular coupon to get them for $0.99 each
  • Used $2 RR, total was $1.96, got back $5 RR for spending $25 = $3.04 profit

How do you do ESRs for a previous month?

Sarah,

Basically, Walgreens is repeating the Loreal rebate from last month. You just buy the product and submit your receipt like you would for any other rebate. That's all you have to do. Easy as pie. :)
