Hidden CVS Deal

Doesn't this look scrumptious? DBF whipped up this Paula Deen recipe for dinner last night. Its a casserole of chicken, tortillas, cheeses and diced tomatoes - sooooo good! Here's the recipe if you want to try it too.
CVS - new card
  • 2 Mentos Gums $1.79 each, BOGO sale, used two $1 coupons (10/3 SS) = $0.21 profit
  • Neutrogena Triple Moisture Split End Mender (3 oz) $7.49, got back $7.49 EB (Limit 1) = FREE *Not in circular but advertised on shelf tags
  • AZO Itch Relief Cream (1 oz) or Wipes $6.99 (your price may vary), used $2 coupon and got back $5 EB (monthly deal, Limit 5) = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • Used $1 EB, $2 EB, $3 EB and $10 EB, total was $1.60

The cashier didn't want to take both of my AZO coupons, saying one was a copy since it had the same barcode as the other. I explained that they were both from AZO's website and in fact, not copies at all. She ended up scanning them both but didn't look happy about it. Why do some cashiers think its ok to wrongly accuse people of coupon fraud?!?

Then on my old card, I bought:

  • 6 Mentos Gums $1.79 each, BOGO sale, used six $1 coupons (10/3 SS) = $0.63 profit
  • Neutrogena Triple Moisture Split End Mender (3 oz) $7.49, got back $7.49 EB (Limit 1) = FREE *Not in circular but advertised on shelf tags
  • Schick Hydro 3 or 5 Razor $8.99, used $4 coupon (10/3 SS) and got back $5 EB (Limit 1) = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • Stamps $8.80
  • Used $8 EB and $10 EB, total was $3.78

Rite Aid

  • 2 Tugaboos Diapers $0.89 each ($0.99 reg price, 10% Wellness discount), used two $1 coupons (adjusted to $0.99 each, found inside packages I bought previously) = $0.20 profit
  • ThermaCare Back Patch (1 ct) $2.99, will get back $2.99 (SCR #23) = FREE *There are coupons out for this but I always have issues printing the Thermacare coupons, so I didn't even bother
  • TheraMax Allergy or Cold & Flu Spray (0.5 oz) $6.99, will get back $6.99 (SCR #29) = FREE
  • Cold Buster Warming Syrup (4 oz) $6.69, will get back $6.69 (SCR #24) = FREE

Then on DBF's card, I bought:

  • Simply Saline Adult Nasal Mist (1.5 oz) $3.99, used $1 coupon and should get back $3.99 (SCR #30) = $1 profit
  • TheraMax Allergy or Cold & Flu Spray (0.5 oz) $6.99, will get back $6.99 (SCR #29) = FREE
  • Cold Buster Warming Syrup (4 oz) $6.69, will get back $6.69 (SCR #24) = FREE
  • Blink Tears (15 mL) $7.99, will get back $7.99 (SCR #32) = FREE
  • BodiHeat Beyond Wraps (3-4 ct) $2.99, will get back $2.99 (SCR #27) = FREE
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon, $1 UP and $3 UP, total was $20.64, overall profit $4.01

We'll see if the Simply Saline clears. The rebate book says it has to be a 1.5 oz, but I can't find any 1.5 oz bottles in the store and these were signed as counting towards the rebate. I have a feeling it was a typo and its supposed to be 2.0 oz for the rebate. I'll let you know if it clears.
