Not too Shabby for Just Pocket Change

Rite Aid
  • 12 Stayfree pads (18-24 count) $3.99 each, BOGO sale and used six BOGO coupons (6/28 SS) = FREE
  • Snapple 6 pack $4.99 (in the circular for $6!)
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon, total was $0.34

The Stayfree also counts towards SCR #160: spend $50 on J&J products, get back a $25 RA gift card. Now the question is, will all the Stayfree pads count or just the non-BOGO-sale ones? If they all count, I'm already at $47.88! My coworker gave me some coupon inserts today so I have one more Stayfree BOGO coupon to use. That would put me over $50 and if it works and I get back the $25 gift card, that's a $25 profit! I'll keep you posted.

I've also updated my weekly deals post with some new RA deals.

'Jumping w/ Joy!' I was wondering who was going to do the Stayfree deal! I did it back at CVS in like November and am running low since I gave some to friends and packed others away. Sweetness! I can't wait since this is part of the Huggies/J and J deal! I have to get diapers for a co-worker fora going away party...YIPPEE for me!

I'm going to do this deal this week too. I wish I knew what was going to count toward the "spend $50", probably only the "buy one", not the "free one". I have 9 BOGO MC's, so, I need to figure this out. I read that there are some regular priced 6.49 or 6.99 included in the BOGO, so, these may work better toward the "spend $50"...hmmm, my head is spinning...

Frugalsuz that's a GREAT deal! Unfortunatly I'm not running low at all, and my little closet is practically overflowing. I only have 1 Q though, and I suppose 2 little packages wouldn't hurt...

That is an impressive amount of padding there! Great deal.

oh man, when I saw that Q on Sunday I thought "I don't need any cotton ponies" But if its a moneymaker, then I'll gladly get more. I'm gonna do the diaper deal & send those to my cousin who just had a baby. Thanks for posting the details.

spaghetti,
I just wrote back to you on the boards, but the Stayfree and the Huggies deals are different rebates. But still, free pads are always good!

Connie,
I know, if its the non-sale ones, I don't have enough coupons to get up to $50. Oh well, the pads are still free so I'm not out any money if it doesn't work.

annathy,
Of course not, two little packages won't hurt at all. :)

Chicagolandia,
lol, thanks!

pubbler,
I may do the diaper deal for my sister's friend also. What a great price for diapers!

Queen,
The same thing happened to me yesterday too. I'm going to try another store. So annoying!

So, wait, let me get this straight, the sale is BOGO then the Q's are BOGO too. They didn't question the coupon? i went yesterday but chickened out (Yes, I did) b/c i figured they'd say 'you can't use the Bogo Q with the Bogo sale'. Since if you bring two up there, it's BOGO, so 3.99 for two. Then the Bogo Q, you're not really buying two...you know? So nobody had an issue with these Qs? Just wanna make sure before I go in :)

spaghetti,
You got it right girl! Its a BOGO sale and you're using a BOGO coupon. They basically cancel each other out for free pads. I had no problems when I bought this stuff. I tried to buy two more pads the other night and because my total was zero (no tax), the cashier had to call a manager over. I'd never seen this guy before (I think he is new) and he wouldn't let me do it. So I'd suggest buying something cheap as a filler, so your total isn't zero. I'm going to try again tomorrow at a different store to use up my coupons.

Welllllllll, since I wanted to do the Huggies deal for my co-worker, maybe I'll get a few diapers as well....can you imagine the looks! Stayfree AND Huggies? hahahahaha! Did you find out if all the Stayfree counts for the deal? I haven't done anything at RA but I think I have to enter all my receipt stuff in the website, right?

spaghetti,
No, I haven't entered my receipt info on RA's website yet. I figured I'd buy some more today to get up to $50 and then enter everything and see what happens.
