Happy 4th of July Everyone!

I hope you're all having a wonderful day with your family and friends!
Rite Aid - there's nothing catching my eye at CVS or WAG's this week, so now that my RA shopping is done, I'm planning to take the rest of the week off from shopping. I'm going to use the time to relax, catch up on rebates, bills, organizing my stockpile room and random little things around the house.

  • ReNu Sensitive $7.29, use $2 coupon (or 6/6 SS) and $2 RA coupon and will get back $7.49 (SCR #13) = $4 profit
  • Blink Tears Preservative Free Eye Drops (0.4 mL) $7.99, used $2 coupon (5/16 RP - also found $2 peelies), got back $2 UP Rewards and will get back $5 (SCR #28) = $1.01 profit
  • Oral-B Cross Action Power Toothbrush $5.99, used $3 coupon (6/27 RP) and will get back $4 (SCR #6) = $1.01 profit
  • Comtrex (20 ct) $5.99, will get back $5 (SCR #11) = $0.99
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon and $10 UP Reward, total was $3.84 - paid with gift cards from previous rebate

Repeated the same transaction. I'm now down to $30 in UP Rewards, expiring 7/17. I'm hoping the deals for next week look good so I can use the rewards up then. If not, I'll figure out another deal or two for this week.

Also stopped at Walmart for a couple things and I picked up the 6 pack of Snapple. I'll use this for my third TMF rebate (tearpad rebates found in stores/ebay, Exp 7/7).

Hey!
I love your blog. You are a godess...LOL. I aim to be just like you...hated Rite Aid til I started seeing all what you get and how you do it. The manager at the nearest RA to me hates me (long story) and last time I went in, I was just *looking* at stuff near the Stayfree (planning my attack...) and she yelled from the end of the aisle "Ma'am, I can't allow you to buy everything and clear the shelves...I need enough for other customers because the sale runs through Saturday" I'm like, WTH, there is nothing in my cart yet and you don't even know what I'm looking at, witch! Ha ha. Never heard of a manager telling customers they can't buy something but this lady is on my case constantly. I have NEVER cleared a shelf of anything, ever. I did, however, write a nice friendly complaint letter to RA CS about how this particular store always has well-stocked beer shelves, but never seems to have the Free After Rebate items instock. Hmmm....maybe that is why she's so mean to me, ya think?

Anyway, play the Sobe lifewater twist the cap game and the usual prize is a B1G1 coupon - print 2 per day. I'm thinking there's a limit on how many times you can win around 20 coupons total because one of my computers is now maxed, but it's 2 per day. CVS has them B1G1, limit 6 per card this week.

I'm stockin' up, LOL. Didn't know if you knew about that or not.

Thanks for the awesome site. Keep up the good work!

Mary,
Thank you so much! That manager sounds absolutely awful. It might be worth calling the 1-800 # and lodging a complaint. It might help!

I think she hates me because I already DID submit a complaint. She once yelled at me (serious, it was a yell, not just a regular voice) "We are losing too much money from coupons!" I just think that's total crap - they get back every penny and more from MC's, and corporate puts out the RA coupons, so why on earth would they discourage anyone from shopping at their stores?

Another store just a few miles away sets up displays in the front of freebie items and the manager just pushes coupons thru with overage - he's really nice about it. I shop at that RA as often as I can, but sometimes you have to shop hop to get everything you want.

Also try www.sobe.com/coupon for another couple coupons. You may be able to get more than 2 prints - their limits have been all wonky lately.

Mary,
I totally know the feeling. I have some awful RA's in my area too and I try to stay away as much as possible. But when you're on the hunt for something, you sometimes have to risk it. I'll never understand managers like that woman. All I can think of is that she really dislikes her job and is taking it out on customers.
