DBF, my sister and her friend and I went to the Sussex County fair on Saturday. We moseyed around, looked at the farm animals, snacked on way too much food and had a great time. On the way home, we did a quick CVS run. We went to the same store as last week and again, they assured me that the sale prices were in effect and the EB's would print. Wrong again! I think I'm done with Saturday night CVS shopping.

This CVS's papers only had three coupon inserts and there were supposed to be five. So, we decided to check Walmart. Their papers were all bound together at the Customer Service desk and I hated to go sorting through them with the whole line of returners watching. So off we went to ShopRite, only to find out...they DON'T EVEN SELL PAPERS! ARG! At this point, I feel its important to mention that we are in the middle of a monsoon and even with the help of my umbrella, DBF and I are 86% soaked. I was getting pretty ticked off at getting in and out of the car, scampering in and out of stores and getting more and more drippy. We finally went to A&P and I literally threw these $8 papers in the cart without even checking the inserts. 5 coupon inserts be damned! Don't mess with me when I'm wearing soggy jeans! :p

A&P

  • 8 papers $2 each
  • 3 cases Snapple (12 packs) $3.99 (WYB 3, $15 addtl. purchase required)
  • Total was $28.99 after DBF's mom's employee discount

I stayed dry today over on the other side of the Delaware River.teehee
Hope the fair was fun. Sussex County is my old stomping grounds. I use to work at McKeown's Restaurant up on Culver Lake.

Angie,
Just tried it this morning and it didn't work unfortunately.

Lisa,
I hope you can too, rainchecks are great!

Queenbuv3,
DBF = dear boyfriend and he has his own CVS card that I "borrow" (ie. steal, lol) all the time.

slugmama,
The kicker was as soon as we got home, it stopped raining and the sun came out. Figures! The fair was great, we go every year.

Frugalsuz - have you tried the MM deal on the vitamin water? Apparently some flavors (sync, xxx) are $1.25, but giving out a $3 eb! I am stuck at work, but it would be an awesome money maker.

Also, if you get a second, check out my latest post & see what you think :)
