WAGging the Day Away

Just Walgreens today. I never thought I'd pay for a shampoo/conditioner again, but I am so in love with these John Frieda Root Awakening products! I figure the profit from the Nivea cancelled out the cost of them, so its all good. Three of the bottles aren't in the pic. I was shopping in my stockpile/garage and brought some Febreze upstairs in one of the bags. It leaked over the shampoos and a $5 RR, so now I have a lovely scented RR to use.
  • Nivea for Men Active 3 Body Wash (16.9 oz) $5.99, used $3 coupon (5/2 RP) and got back $6 RR = $3 profit - bought another one separately
Another store:
  • 3 John Frieda Sham/Cond $5 each, used three $3 coupons (6/6 SS) and got back $5 RR (WYB 3, monthly deal) = $1 or $0.33 each
  • 10 Keebler Cookies/Crackers $0.99 each, will submit for $10 rebate (WYB 10 items in single transaction, from calendar that was released ages ago, found form on ebay) = FREE
  • $15 WAG gift card
  • Candy Bar $0.39
  • Used $4 RR and four $6 RR's, total was $4.34

Another store:

  • 3 John Frieda Sham/Cond $5 each, used two $3 coupons (6/6 SS) and $2.50 coupon (take survey) and got back $5 RR (WYB 3, monthly deal) = $1.50 or $0.50 each
  • 10 Keebler Cookies/Crackers $0.99 each, will submit for $10 rebate (WYB 10 items in single transaction, from calendar that was released ages ago, found form on ebay) = FREE
  • Used two $6 RR's, total was $5.45

And finally:

  • 3 John Frieda Sham/Cond $5 each, used $2.50 coupon (take survey) and two $2 coupons and got back $5 RR (WYB 3, monthly deal) = $3.50 or $1.66 each
  • Nestle Crunch bar $0.39
  • Used $6 RR, total was $3.94

I want to know your secret of buying Wags gift cards with RRs.

No secret really, I just include it in my order like any other item. RR's say they exclude gift cards, so your cashier may veto it. However, it doesn't beep and I've never had a problem doing it. I try to go to a teenage cashier when I buy gift cards. They could care less.

Were you the winning bidder on those 3 kellogs rebate forms on ebay the other day?

Also, thought you might be interested I found some science diet rebate forms at Farm King. Form says: Buy any science diet dry dog or cat food 15.5 lbs or higher and get back $7. Expires 6/30/10. While supplies last. The kicker is that rebate can not be used in conjunction with any other manuf. coupons. But with the sale prices of the cat food (ours is $25) you could still score a sweet deal! Limit is one per household. I have three extra forms!

Nope, I missed out on that auction but the seller offered me a second chance offer. She said she had a bunch of them, so if you're interested, might be worth contacting her. Thanks so much for thinking of me, but my cat that eats Science Diet is on a prescription version of the food, not the diet kind. It sucks.

I guess I'm a giant nerd for doing the math... but I think something's a little off in this transaction.... total should be around $31, I think...
* 3 John Frieda Sham/Cond $5 each, used three $3 coupons (6/6 SS) and got back $5 RR (WYB 3, monthly deal) = $1 or $0.33 each
* 10 Keebler Cookies/Crackers $0.99 each, will submit for $10 rebate (WYB 10 items in single transaction, from calendar that was released ages ago, found form on ebay) = FREE
* $15 WAG gift card
* Candy Bar $0.39
* Used $4 RR and two $6 RR's, total was $5.45

Wow you must have one of those ultra couponing-deal brains. I am so challenged in this dept. You really have it down like a science. I do love reading your deals and rebates tho as you give us great ideas.
