Green on My Table = Green in my Wallet

Woo, look at all those John Frieda's! There are 44 in total (four leaked and are drying in the sink), bought from 7 different stores. I didn't clean out any one store, leaving plenty for other couponers. I did two transactions in most of the stores. I got my $5 and $25 gift cards for completing the skincare rebates yesterday, so I was able to use them today to cover a lot of my OOP. Here's my main transaction, short and simple:
  • 4 John Frieda Root Awakening Sham/Cond/Stylers $5 each, used four $3 coupons (6/6 SS) and got back $10 UP Rewards
  • Used $5 off $20 coupon, total was $4.05, overall profit = $5.95

Then I whipped up some other items to buy along with the JF so that I could use a $5 off $25 coupon (Expires 6/30). I figured the cashiers might be more willing to let me do back to back transactions if I used a different coupon on the second one. I would have been better off if I'd bought some of the free rebate items, but I didn't have the right coupons with me. I have some more JF coupons to use up, so I'll buy those items later this week.

  • 4 John Frieda Root Awakening Sham/Cond/Stylers $5 each, used four $3 coupons (6/6 SS) and got back $10 UP Rewards
  • Tresemme Fresh Start or Naturals Sham/Cond $3.99, used $1 coupon and $2 RA coupon (Exp. 6/30) and got back $1 UP Rewards = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • Welch's Grape Juice $3, used $2 coupon (printable from Facebook, no longer available) = $1
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon, total was $6.32, overall profit = $4.68

Here's another transaction - did this one twice

  • 4 John Frieda Root Awakening Sham/Cond/Stylers $5 each, used four $3 coupons (6/6 SS) and got back $10 UP Rewards
  • Huggies Pure and Natural Diapers $8.99, used $2.50 coupon, $1 RA coupon (Expires 6/30) and will get back $2 (SCR #42) = $3.49
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon, $2 UP Reward and $3 UP Reward, total was $4.54, overall profit = $2.46

Another one

  • 4 John Frieda Root Awakening Sham/Cond/Stylers $5 each, used four $3 coupons (6/6 SS) and got back $10 UP Rewards
  • Paper Pro Nano Stapler $6.99, will get back $3 (SCR #134) = $3.99
  • $15 Wendy's Gift card - wanted to try using an UP Reward on a gift card
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon, $10 UP Reward, total was $16.53, overall profit = $1.47
Another
  • 4 John Frieda Root Awakening Sham/Cond/Stylers $5 each, used four $3 coupons (6/6 SS) and got back $10 UP Rewards
  • Tresemme Fresh Start or Naturals Sham/Cond $3.99, used $1 coupon and $2 RA coupon (Exp. 6/30) and got back $1 UP Rewards = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • EDIT - its $1 when you buy two, so I'll have to pick up a second to get this rebate -Toblerone Bar $2.49, will get back $1 (SCR #158) = $1.49
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon, total was $7.99, overall profit = $4.01

WOWSERS!!! I got 12 bottles from a few stores and don't know where I'm going to put them yet, I can't imagine finding space for 44 of those babies. Great Job!!!

HELP! Okay you know the Proglide surveys (duh of course you do) well it's telling me my serial # has been used already! WTF, uh no! What should I do?!

Thanks, Courtney

annathy,
Yeah, I have to find somewhere to squeeze them in. I'm going to donate a bunch of other kinds of shampoo that I don't like as much to make room for these.

Courtney,
Bummer, that probably means they are at the limit for the survey. I'm not sure there's anything you can do unfortunately.

You make it look so easy, but I KNOW how much time it took to hound all those deals. Great job. I'm tired just thinking about 7 stores! lol

Lisa,
Thanks! It is a lot of hard work, but worth the time and effort I think. I consider this my part-time job and grabbing up moneymakers like this is like getting a pay raise. :)

I don't have a Rite Aid so I sent my sister 10 Motrin coupons that were $3/1
I told her she would get $3 in up+ rewards if she used her card. She said she went and DID NOT get $3 in up+ she got 3 separate coupons on the bottom of the receipt and one was for $1 off a $5 purchase. Was she doing something wrong? It was only the second time she has ever been to Rite Aid.

Did you actually get 1 - $10 reward to use anyway you want? I told her to send me a picture of the receipts. Cause I don't know anything about Rite Aid

Off topic....but have you sent off any of the kellogs/sunshine/keebler rebates yet? The form states all ten items must be purchased in one transaction, but when I asked the seller this before bidding she told me that multiple receipts could be used??? So, needless to say I'm confused!

I'm so excited that you were able to get your favorite product and get paid too!!! Love it.

News,
When did she buy the Motrin? It was giving back a $3 UP Reward last week only.

The UP Rewards are like CVS's EB's - you use them like cash on most anything in the store. They say something like - $3 off your next non-prescription purchase and print on your receipt.

Stephanie,
I would go by the form, not the seller. I did this rebate three times and made sure to purchase all my items on one receipt.

Thrifty,
Me too! My youngest sister and I are crazy about the Root Awakening stuff, so this will last us for a long time.

The seller claims that he/she contacted Kellogs and they said multiple receipts were fine. I guess it's better to be safe than sorry, tho.

Have you had any problems rolling the JF +UP. I tried doing this, it rolled at one store, but at the next it wouldn't scan at all. They tried telling me I can't use it with a 5/20 but that didn't help. But when I used the $3 Motrin one, it worked without any problems. Weird.

Pubbler,
No, I didn't have any problems rolling it but I read on Slick Deals that some folks were having trouble. I think they're still tweaking the UP Rewards program and working out the problems.
