This is my grandfather. Why he's touching his toes, I have no idea. Why anyone thought to preserve this moment in time, I especially have no idea.
Umm, yeah. I'm not sure what's worse, the 'stache my uncle's sporting or those grapes. Why on earth did my aunt think holding up a pound of grapes would add to photo? On a sidenote, this aunt is now totally the black sheep of the family and I bet we could trace it all back to this unfortunate fruit incident.
This photo, oh this photo. It looks innocent enough at first glance. But on closer examination, my aunt in the green dress is looking pretty glum. In fact, she looks kinda pissed off! The baby looks downright perturbed and my aunt on the left-hand side of the photo looks bored. What on earth was the photographer holding up to get them to smile? "Broccoli for dinner kids, smile!" My dad is a veggie lover, which is probably why he's the only one grinning in this shot. "Yeah for sprouts!" And no, that's not a smudge on the photo. The girl in the back has an honest to goodness black eye. What a charming family moment.

These cracked me up tonight! Thanks for sharing them. :-)
Don't ya just love family?!?!? It's fun looking back on old photos. Which makes me think I need to get some out and let the grandsons see them of their mom as a kid and others!!!
When I saw this last night I started laughing so hard, I cried. Even DBF was laughing at this one. Have you ever seen the Olan Mills wonderfulness photos? This photo is just as funny:-) OK, maybe more so:-)
Thanks for making my night!!
Thanks for sharing those! Lots of laughs.
I wonder.....is that bottle *ahem*'grape product' empty or full on the sideboard behind them? Depending, it might explain that goofy photo.lol
Too funny!!
you crack me up...
Great photos
Ha! Those are so cool! Your analysis of the family(kids) photo cracked me up!
I hate to laugh at the expense of your family but when I saw this pic and your explanation, I was just ROFLMAO! This reminded me of so many of our black and white phtos from the earlier years! Thanks for sharing.
