Never Again J&J

This is why I will never again do a rebate through Johnson & Johnson. After I received the samples they sent the other day, I emailed them AGAIN to find out where my rebate might be. (this is for the Neutrogena Clinical rebate that I mailed to them in JULY!)

The Information Center

This is the line that really pisses me off:
"There have been a high number of rebate submissions, please be patient with this process."

I don't care how many other people submitted for this rebate! If a company puts a rebate out there, especially for such a high priced item ($35) they sure as hell better be ready to pay up. And considering this rebate has been pending for almost six months now, I think I've been pretty patient. Curse you J&J!!

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I won't do J&J rebates either and I don't even care how much $$$ they are worth. The last one I submitted, must have been close to 2 years ago at this point, was for $25 and it took 9 MONTHS. That to me, is just plain unacceptable. It's not good customer relations and it's just not good business. They are not worth the time and the effort. Good luck, you have about 3 more months to wait, then you should get it! Sorry!

Sorry to hear that it is taking so long. They don't know how much bad publicity they are getting by delaying yours :) I checked my records and I got my check in October. Hopefully yours is coming soon.

Sounds like a cookie cutter response. What a pain in the you know what....I'd try calling the number they gave you and ask them to give you a date of when you can expect to receive it...it's been since JULY! they should be able to accomadate you, if not...I would go to Better Business Bureau...and let them know if they don't help you, that's right where you're going!

That is so strange. I recvd mine for the correct amount and if I remember correctly is was pretty promptly. Maybe they've lost it and they are putting you off.

I had no problems getting my rebate, but I know how frustrating it is when we have to comply with expiration dates on rebates but the company doesnt have to follow their "6-8 weeks" or whatever time frame they put on the forms.

That's insane! I just wish I hadn't had to send in the UPC for this item or I would have returned it ages ago. I had a problem with an Aveeno rebate (also J&J) and I returned everything to the store and said "the hell with it." Since I'd used coupons to pay, I ended up with a bigger return amount than I'd spent in the first place.

At my address, I got back a check for around $3. I called and they gave me that line about only expecting to reimburse people for their out of pocket expense, but they'd do this for me "just this once". Shortly after, I got a check for the difference. Shortly after that, I got a check at my parents' for the right amount, so I figured da boyfriend's rebate would be on its way shortly. This is just plain ridiculous. If they can be bothered to send me two samples (which I gave away), they can cut me a check.

Maybe, but just own up to it and tell me what the problem is. I hate when people cover their mistakes with lies. So frustrating

Nope! That's one of the few rebates I never received back for last year, but I never hold out much hope for rebates from magazines like that. They usually say something like "while supplies last" which makes me think they can cut it off whenever they feel like it.

Excellent point! I did everything on my end that was required of me, how about returning the favor J&J?

I completely know the frustration you are going through. I'm currently going through the same thing...jumping through hoops and playing email tag all over a Wrangler rebate. Word to the wise, avoid Wrangler rebates at all cost.

It's been declined for "x" reason and then that's ok but now it's declined for "y" reason. Every time you call customer service, you have to leave a message. I've yet to speak directly to a real person without them calling me back. Mine has been since October, but I have been fighting the "rebate declined status" for over a month.

They are just grasping at straws so that they won't have to pay my measly $10 rebate. I'm with you. Why offer a rebate if you're not prepared to pay?!

I only send probably 5 rebates per year. I am amazed at how many you do and that you don't have more issues like this.

I feel your pain.

P.S. If you're a fan of jerky, there is a break even deal at RA. This rolling deal made my hubby VERY happy!

I hate J&J rebates too. Had some problems with one of theirs last year but eventually got it.
Also Zegerid....still waiting on that one from last August!

Hope they come through while you're still nimble enough to endorse the check.lol
