Converting my GOS to Cash

Rite Aid - did two transactions, one for my rebates and one for my boyfriend's rebates
  • Blink Gel Tears or Complete Solution $7.99, used $2 coupon (1/31 RP) and will get back $7.99 (SCR #45) = $2 profit
  • Advil Liqui-Gels (40 ct) $4.49, used $2 coupon (or 1/31 RP) and will get back $1 (SCR #24) = $1.49
  • Profoot Insoles three for $15, used two $1 coupons (couldn't find any with peelie coupons) and will get back $10 (SCR #40, WYB 3) = $3
  • Colgate Total Advanced or Total Enamel Strength Toothpaste (4 oz) $2.99, used $0.75 coupon (1/3 SS) and will get back $2 (SCR #3) = $0.24
  • Rite Aid scrubber sponges $1.99
  • York peppermint pattie $0.88, will submit for this rebate to get a coupon for a free bag of Pieces candy
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon and $20 GOS (from previous rebate), total was $1.59

Then I bought:

  • Blink Gel Tears or Complete Solution $7.99, used $2 coupon (1/31 RP) and will get back $7.99 (SCR #45) = $2 profit
  • Snapple 6 pack $5.99, used $1 coupon (1/31 SS) and will submit for Try Me Free rebate (tearpad rebate found at Walgreens) = $1 profit
  • Advil Liqui-Gels (40 ct) $4.49, used $2 coupon (or 1/31 RP) and will get back $1 (SCR #24) = $1.49
  • Profoot Insoles three for $15 (couldn't find any with peelie coupons) and will get back $10 (SCR #40, WYB 3) = $5
  • Colgate Total Advanced or Total Enamel Strength Toothpaste (4 oz) $2.99, used $0.75 coupon (1/3 SS) and will get back $2 (SCR #3) = $0.24
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon and $20 GOS (from previous rebate), total was $5.71

Since I earned the GOS (Gift of Savings) rebates for buying rebate items, they were icing on the cake and pure profit. So when I calculate my savings for these trips, I'm counting them as a coupon rather than a reward. That means my overall profit for transaction one is $19.40 and transaction two is $21.27. Not too shabby!

Suz,

Have you tried the insoles? Do you like them?

I haven't tried them yet and I'm not sure I'm going to. I have so many insoles from the Dr. Scholls deal last year at Walgreens that I may just try to sell these online.
