Using Up Some UP's

Rite Aid - my card. Was planning on picking up two pet beds at $4.99 each, but the store didn't have any so I got a raincheck instead. I'll try another store during the week so I can use up some of the UP Rewards I have that are expiring on 10/2.
  • Olay Eye Roller $21.99 and two Olay moisturizers $8.49 each (one rang up with 10% discount so $7.64 and second was 50% off so $4.24), used $1 off $10 Wellness Coupon for skincare, FREE Eye Roller coupon (9/12 SS, max value $19.99) and two $1 Olay moisturizer coupons (9/12 SS) and got back $10 UP Reward (WYB $30 of qualifying items) = $0.88
  • eos Sphere $2.96 (reg price was $3.29), will get back $2 (SCR #53) = $0.96
  • Aquafina 24 pack water (not in pic) $3.99, got back $1 UP Reward = $2.99
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon and six $2 UP's, total was $2.78, overall cost of transaction - $3.78 - not bad for using up so many UP's. I'm hoping another Olay rebate is posted on Olay's website soon and it will turn this into a moneymaker deal for me.

Rite Aid - DBF's card. I didn't have as many UP's to use up on this card, so I just stuck with the Olay scenario.

  • Olay Eye Roller $21.99 and two Olay moisturizers $8.99 each (one rang up with 10% discount so $8.09 and second was 50% off so $4.49), used $1 off $10 Wellness Coupon for skincare, FREE Eye Roller coupon (9/12 SS, max value $19.99) and $1 Olay moisturizer coupon (9/12 SS) and $3 Olay moisturizer coupon (not sure where I got this, might have been a home mailer) and got back $10 UP Reward (WYB $30 of qualifying items) = $1.42 profit
  • Tugaboos $0.89 ($0.99 reg price, got 10% Wellness discount) = $0.11 profit
  • Diet Coke (not in pic, we were thirsty) $1.52
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon, $1 UP, $2 UP and $3 UP, total was $2.09, overall profit = $1.91
ShopRite - SR is having three great deals this week on Kraft, Nestle and pet items. You spend $20 on the qualifying items and you get back four $5 cats, good on more Kraft, Nestle or pet items. They aren't good right away though, each is valid for a specific week.
  • Oscar Mayer turkey dogs $2
  • 4 Philadelphia Cream Cheeses $0.99 each and Kraft Deluxe mac & cheese $2.50, used $5 Kraft coupon (off any 5 Kraft items)
  • 4 Crystal Lites $2.99 each
  • Total was $15.87 and got back four $5 cats (WYB $20 of participating Kraft items) = $4.13 profit

At a second store, I bought another set of the same items, plus some produce for a $5 off $15 Heineken NBPR rebate

  • Friendship Sour Cream $2.19, used free coupon (got in the mail) = FREE
  • Oscar Mayer turkey dogs $2
  • 4 Philadelphia Cream Cheeses $0.99 each and Kraft Deluxe mac & cheese $2.50, used $5 Kraft coupon (off any 5 Kraft items)
  • 4 Crystal Lites $2.99 each
  • Baby Carrots $1.50
  • 2 Dole salad packs $2 each, used two $0.75 coupons = $1 or $0.50 each
  • 2 bags Granny Smith apples $2 each
  • Black seedless grapes $2.53 ($0.99/lb)
  • Total was $24.85, got back four $5 cats (WYB $20 of participating Kraft items) and will get back $5 for rebate (started previously)

On the Olay website, there is a rebate for $10 when you spend $30. Use that in combination with the $10 Up and that's quite a money maker.

Now if I could just find a free roller ball coupon. I didn't get one in my insert.

Anyone have an extra they could spare?

Michelle,
Thanks for all the info! The rebate that's up online right now ($10 WYB $30) has been up for a while, and I was hoping they'd post a new one soon. I know I read somewhere that a new rebate was coming.

You are welcome.

I just noticed that for the Olay rebate that I mentioned the items had to be purchased by 9/17 so that would not work with this weeks deal. Sorry 'bout that.

I guess that I'll be passing on that deal since my area didn't get the free roller ball coupon and I can't find anyone willing to trade before the sale ends. Oh well.

I will make a trip for the free Nexxus shampoo though. Everyone loves free shampoo.

Can't wait to see your next trip post.

On a side note, I got my Glam Bag today. This is the first time I've gotten this and what a disappointment! I thought it would have some decent samples, but 4 things?

You would think with the cost of the bags and postage to send them that they would approach some of their many sponsors and give some decent stuff. I was very disappointed.

What are your thoughts? Have you gotten yours? Is this years bag comparative to past years?

I didn't even bother with the Glam Bag rebate because I read online that the goodies inside were pretty pitiful. I did a similar rebate with RA last year and was pretty disappointed then too.
