Working 9 to 5

Well, dear friends, I took a day off work today to get all my Walgreens shopping done. I started at store #1 at 9 am and I rounded out the day back at that same store again at 5 pm. I stopped home for a quick lunch break, but otherwise spent the day Walgreens-hopping. Let me tell you, I am TIRED! I basically did the same transactions over and over, so I'm going to try and condense this a little for you. My gift cards are used up, so I used cash to pay for all the transactions. Here we go:

Had three of those darn Bayer coupons to use up. They are finally gone! :)
  • Bayer Contour/Breeze 2 monitor $14.99, used freebie coupon (10/26 or 2/1 RP or 3/22 SS) and got back $5 RR = $5 profit - bought three separately = $15 profit

Then the mission was to use up all of those Bayer RR's

  • Nivea Body Wash for Women (16.9 oz.) $4.99, used $1 coupon (4/5 RP or store displays) and got back $5 RR = $1 profit
  • Geisha canned pears (yum! There's just something about canned pears, I love 'em!) $0.89 with in-circular coupon
  • Hallmark tissue paper or wrapping paper $0.39 with in-circular coupon
  • Used $5 Bayer RR, total was $0.65

Repeated once

  • Nivea $4.99, used $1 coupon and got back $5 RR = $1 profit
  • Geisha canned peaches $0.89 with in-circular coupon
  • Walgreens travel pack of tissues $0.29 (regular price - these are always a great filler)
  • Used $5 Bayer RR, total was $0.52

Repeated 2 times

  • Nivea $4.99, used $1 coupon and got back $5 RR = $1 profit
  • Bumble Bee tuna $0.79 with in-circular coupon
  • Walgreens travel pack of tissues $0.29
  • Used $5 Bayer RR, total was $0.42

Repeated 3 times

  • Nivea $4.99, used $1 coupon and got back $5 RR = $1 profit
  • Bumble Bee tuna $0.79 with in-circular coupon
  • Hallmark tissue paper or wrapping paper $0.39 with in-circular coupon
  • Used $5 Bayer RR, total was $0.55

Did this once

  • Nivea $4.99, used $1 coupon and got back $5 RR = $1 profit
  • Scotch packaging tape $0.99 with in-circular coupon
  • Walgreens travel pack of tissues $0.29
  • Used $5 Bayer RR, total was $0.69

Repeated 4 times

  • Nivea $4.99, used $1 coupon and got back $5 RR = $1 profit
  • Scotch packaging tape $0.99 with in-circular coupon
  • Hallmark tissue paper or wrapping paper $0.39 with in-circular coupon
  • Used $5 Bayer RR, total was $0.82
Did this once
  • Nivea $4.99, used $1 coupon and got back $5 RR = $1 profit
  • Cambells soup $0.59 with in-circular coupon
  • Morton salt $0.50 with in-circular coupon
  • Used $5 Bayer RR, total was $0.43

Did this once

  • 2 Dr. Scholls inserts $10 each
  • 2 Walgreens travel pack of tissues $0.29 each
  • Used four $5 Nivea RR's, total was $0.58

Repeated once

  • Gillette Fusion razor cartridges $26.99 - DBF is a shaving machine!!
  • Scotch packaging tape $0.99 with in-circular coupon
  • Walgreens travel pack of tissues $0.29
  • Walgreens Real Soft toilet paper $1 (regular price)
  • Used two $10 Dr. Scholls RR's, $6 Rembrant RR and $3 Edge RR, total was $2.23

Here's where I stand now: one $3 Edge RR, one $6 Rembrant RR and thirteen $5 Nivea RR's.

I also threw in a couple CVS runs. Why not, right? My card

  • Garnier Fructis shampoo/conditioner/styler $2.99, used $1 coupon (1/4 RP) and got back $2 EB (Limit 1) = FREE
  • 6 Command metal hooks $2.50 each, used six $2.50 coupons and got back $5 EB (WYB $15 worth, limit 1) = $5 profit
  • Total was $3.25, paid with gift card (too tired to figure out a plan to use EB's to pay)

Also got back a $10 EB for completing a survey. Have you signed up yet?

Repeated on DBF's card

ShopRite
  • Grapes $1.94 ($0.99/lb)
  • Empire Apples $1.41 ($0.99/lb)
  • 4 Sargento shredded cheeses $1.49 each, used two $1 off 2 coupons (4/19 SS) = $3.96 or $0.99 each

  • 4 Marcal toilet papers $0.99 each, used four freebie coupons (4/5 SS) = FREE
  • Got $0.10 bag discount, total was $12.89

Now please excuse me while I go collapse in a mindless lump on my couch. See y'all in a month or so. :p

whoa, wait....you didn't get the unilever insert? I'm shocked...you paper usually gets all the good coupons and all the inserts. Did you need any coupons from there? I think that was the week I got 6 papers.

Amiyrah,
No, I didn't get any of them in my paper. My mom gave me her copy, but she'd cut out her Breyers coupon. :( I don't think I need any coupons, but thanks!

Pubbler,
I hope you have a great shopping day too!

Angie,
Ooh, thanks for the coupon tips!

LittlePeopleWealth,
Thanks!

Swag,
5 stores IS a lot! I wanted to get all my shopping done in the one day, and now I'm done for the week.
