Wow - my March rebate money has already reloaded to my gift card.
Walgreens
- Bayer Contour monitor $14.99, used freebie coupon (3/22 RP) = FREE, got back a coupon for a FREE 6 oz. tube of Crest Pro Health toothpaste
- Edge shaving cream $2.79 *did NOT get back $3 RR for this so they probably fixed this glitch. Only the Edge Energy varieties are working now (black cans). I'll return this some other time.
- Scott toilet paper $2.50 with in-circular coupon, used $0.75 coupon (3/29 SS) = $1.75
- 2 Butterfinger candies $0.39 each (with in-circular coupon) *for some reason I was thinking I needed two fillers
- Used $2 RR and $2 RR, total was $1.57
Second transaction
- Bayer Contour monitor $14.99, used freebie coupon (3/22 RP) = FREE, got back a coupon for a FREE 6 oz. tube of Crest Pro Health toothpaste
- Dawn dish detergent $0.99 (with in-circular coupon)
- Chapstick 100% Naturals or True Shimmer Lip Balm or Butter (0.15 oz) $1.99, got back $2 RR = FREE
- Butterfinger candy $0.39 (with in-circular coupon)
- Used $3 RR, total was $0.61
Then, I used my freebie coupons:
- Crest Pro Health toothpaste (6 oz.) $4.49, used freebie coupon = FREE (no tax! I usually pay tax on toothpaste, but I think because the coupon was a WAGs coupon, it brought my taxable total down to zero)
Rinse and repeat - I tried to buy both at once but the second coupon beeped. The cashier suggested I buy them separately, and that was a-okay with me. She said to me - "now that's a way to save money, spend nothing!" You got that right!
- Crest Pro Health toothpaste (6 oz.) $4.49, used freebie coupon = FREE
Lunch break
- Bayer Contour monitor $14.99, used freebie coupon (3/22 RP) = FREE, got back a coupon for a FREE 6 oz. tube of Crest Pro Health toothpaste
- Chapstick 100% Naturals or True Shimmer Lip Balm or Butter (0.15 oz) $1.99, got back $2 RR = FREE

- Chapstick 100% Naturals or True Shimmer Lip Balm or Butter (0.15 oz) $1.99, got back $2 RR = FREE
- Scott toilet paper $2.50 with in-circular coupon, used $0.75 coupon (3/29 SS) = $1.75
- Used $3 RR, total was $0.88
Used my next set of two freebie coupons (bought seperately)
- Crest Pro Health toothpaste (6 oz.) $4.49, used freebie coupon = FREE
- Crest Pro Health toothpaste (6 oz.) $4.49, used freebie coupon = FREE
Now you may be wondering, "ok, frugalsuz, its nice that you got all that free toothpaste and monitors, 'cause we know you were getting low. So what?" Well, here's what! I will submit for $5 rebate (WYB 4 Crest products, ESR #5) = $5 profit!
There was no tax on the monitors or toothpaste in my area, so this was truly a moneymaker deal for me. Some areas charge tax on the monitors, so it may not be quite as good a deal.
Don't forget about the Crest rebate where you send away and get back a coupon for a free Crest toothpaste. You can often find these forms in Walgreens.
Today's count: Skintimate - 3, Edge - 11, Chapstick - 13

Ok, I bought the Edge gel, the newer packaged one, and no RR printed. Also, my store does not have the skintimates that look anything like yours. Are the RRs just printing on the new ones?
I am a bit frustrated with Wags today. I have to return the shave gel that didnt give me a RR - do you have problems with that usually?
Wow, you deserve a margarita after all that hounding! Amazing deals!
Sarah,
That's strange! As far as I know, the Edge Energy varities should be producing RR's.
Try looking around the beauty area of WAGs for the Skintimate. All my stores have it in the area where they keep the makeup sets, perfume and newer products.
Chicago,
Yummm, a margarita sounds delish!
Ok, I'm confused. I'm in PA and we don't have the Bayer Meters advertised on sale in our weekly ad. We have Freestyle meters from Abbott Labs on sale this week. Is it just us or am I missing a hidden deal on the Bayer ones?
thanks
slugmama,
I just checked my circular and I have only the Freestyle monitor in there as well. I think I remember reading that the Bayer $14.99 price is a Mega Saver price, meaning good all month. But I'm not 100% sure about that. In all the stores I went to, the Bayer monitors were behind the counter at the pharmacy so I couldn't get close enough to the tags to check.
Thanks frugalsuz for the info. You're prolly right, it's a month long deal and all. Has anyone tried buying 2 meters and using 1 coupon? You should technically be able to get 2 @ 14.99 for the 1 $30 coupon, instead of having to adjust down 2 coupons for each 2 you purchase, right? But then, would both of your toothpaste RRs print in the same transaction?
This is too complicated, my head hurts...lol
Oh, I saw u and Precious' posts about the Staples paper and I went and signed up on the 31th and bought the paper. But my rewards account isn't officially starting until the 3rd-when the HQ got the paperwork, NOT the day I signed up and bought the paper. Just got off the phone with CS at Staples and I'll still get the 10% rebate on the paper purchase but I have to wait until JUNE & the 2nd quarter is over!ack
But at least I'll still get it...
I might go buy some more.lol
slugmama,
I'm pretty sure the coupon says "Up to $30 off one monitor" so I don't think you'd be able to use one coupon and get two monitors for free. Besides, if you bought two monitors at once, you'd probably only get back one Crest coupon anyway. I'd suggest buying the monitors separately.
What a hassle with the paper! I hope it all works out and you end up getting the rewards. :)
