Branching Out

Guess what! I actually bought some stuff at Walgreens today other than Bayer monitors. :) Just an FYI - the Bayer RR's say "Compliments of Bayer HealthCare, Diabetes Care!" but the Nivea RR's don't say anything. Just be careful which ones you use when you're checking out. If you use a Nivea RR to buy more Nivea, your new RR won't print.

In case you didn't see my update, the Bayer monitors and the Bayer Quick Crystals are on sale and producing RR's all month long (until 5/30).
First store:
  • 2 Bayer monitors $14.99 each (bought separately), used freebie coupons and got back $5 RR for each = $10 profit
Then I bought:
  • Rembrant mouthwash (16 oz.) $5.99, got back $6 RR = FREE, used $5 Bayer RR to pay, total was $1.41

Next store:

  • Nivea Body Wash for Women (16.9 oz.) $4.99, used $1 coupon (4/5 RP or store displays) and got back $5 RR = $1 profit
  • Bumble Bee tuna $0.79 with in-circular coupon
  • Hallmark wrapping paper (can also buy tissue paper) $0.39 with in-circular coupon
  • Used $5 Bayer RR, total was $0.36 (Love this store! Its a lower tax bracket area so I pay half the tax here)

'Nother store

  • 2 Bayer monitors $14.99 each (bought separately), used freebie coupons and got back $5 RR for each = $10 profit

Lunch break

  • 2 Bayer monitors $14.99 each (bought separately), used freebie coupons and got back $5 RR for each = $10 profit

Then I bought:

  • Rembrant mouthwash (16 oz.) $5.99, got back $6 RR = FREE
  • Hallmark wrapping paper (can also buy tissue paper) $0.39 with in-circular coupon
  • Used two $3 RR's (from Edge), total was $0.83

Yet another store

  • 2 Bayer monitors $14.99 each (bought separately), used freebie coupons and got back $5 RR for each = $10 profit

Then after work - back at the lower tax store

  • Nivea Body Wash for Women (16.9 oz.) $4.99, used $1 coupon (4/5 RP or store displays) and got back $5 RR = $1 profit
  • Scotch Packaging Tape $0.99 with in-circular coupon
  • Hallmark wrapping paper (can also buy tissue paper) $0.39 with in-circular coupon
  • Used $5 Bayer RR, total was $0.59

Then the last transaction for the day

  • Nivea Body Wash for Women (16.9 oz.) $4.99, used $1 coupon (4/5 RP or store displays) and got back $5 RR = $1 profit
  • Hallmark wrapping paper (can also buy tissue paper) $0.39 with in-circular coupon
  • Bumble Bee tuna $0.79 with in-circular coupon
  • Used $5 Bayer RR, total was $0.36

I love your site! It is so amazing what you do. I wish I was your neighbor so we can go couponing together so you can teach me a trick or two:) I ordered Bayer coupons on ebay so I can pick up some of the Bayer meters. I know you said that the $5 RR will print until the end of May...but will the meters be $14.99 all month long too?

we are all out of monitors around here- hopefully some on the truck thursday..lol. I have a question does the weekly in Ad coupon count as a coupon. I knw sometimes i dont have enough products for coupons so if i bought the .39 wrap paper with in store ad coupon can those be usded instead of purchaseing something extra like .29 face tissue i bought today. I always need wrap paper..lol
Thanks

Angie,
Thanks! No, the circular coupons do NOT count as regular coupons. So let's say you bought the Nivea body wash and Campbells soup. You would use your Nivea coupon, the Campbells circular coupon and then you could still use a RR to pay. Walgreens coupons don't count against you.

Kathy,
Thank you so much! We'd have a blast shopping. :) Yes, the monitors will be $14.99 all month and you'll get a $5 RR for every one you buy. Just make sure to buy them individually so you get your RR for each.
