Last night before I went to bed (tiptoeing of course), I did my dishes, ran through a couple of emails, sorted through my mail, straightened up a bit and put out an item I sold on ebay on my table (first mistake). I didn't want to forget to pack it up and get it ready to ship. I then gave the kitties their nightly snack of a couple cat treats and we plodded off to bed. The next morning, I reluctantly hit snooze for the last time possible without making me late, groaned, yawned and stretched my way out of bed. The kitties did the same, innocently pretending they slept on the bed with me all night. I stumbled out into the living room and looked around while trying to convince my eyes to open all the way.
Something looked out of place and I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Suddenly I knew! My ebay item was GONE! AUGH! I have to ship that out, where could it have gone? I looked at the little punks, but of course, mum's the word. Their only concern was how soon breakfast was going to hit their bowls. Sigh. I scanned the room. Nothing. I inquired again with G&M. Nothing but hungry meows. I finally got down on my hands and knees and scoured the room. Aha! It was hidden amidst a bunch of boxes from the Post Office. Maybe they were trying to package it for me. I don't know which one of them did it, but I think it was a long-plotted revenge.
Punks.

That is too funny! I can just picture their innocent expressions.
That sounds soooo much like my cats! The turds. Even the cat in the picture because one of my cats picks up and carries around whatever clothes are within tooth range and runs off with them.
Hehe what was it?
Kitties are such trouble makers!!! Mine think they own the kitchen table.
Chicago,
They always look innocent! Dogs usually look guilty when they've done something wrong, but not cats.
Central,
Turds!! LOL!!!!
Lindsay,
It was an eyeshadow, the perfect size item for them to scoot off the table and hide somewhere. I'm glad I found it - I'd hate to have to tell the buyer my cats lost the item!
I thought for sure you were going to say that your downstairs neighbor complained again.
One time when I was little, my parents had their friends from out of town come visit for the weekend. They slept on the couches in the basement. In the morning, the wife was missing her watch. Turns out that our cat had taken it off the coffee table in the middle of the night to play with it. He was into big money items :-)
Laurie,
haha, no, thankfully I haven't seen or heard from my lovely neighbor since our little "chat" last Saturday. :)
Its so funny what cats get into! I can't leave anything out or within reach because I know they'll mess with it. Mousse was trying to crawl INTO my purse the other day. I was like Hey Mister! Outta there! lol
Aw, how cute! You need to get a video camera to keep out while you sleep :)
I just wanted to tell you that I'm recently found your blog and I LOVE it. You have taught me a lot, and I'm even learning to venture out on my own with coupons in hand. I've never used coupons before (and I find the whole experience somewhat scary...the store clerks can be intimidating sometimes!) But I've come to rely on your site to learn how to stretch my dollars further. Thanks you! Please don't stop!

Roberta,
Welcome and thank you very much! I'm so glad I've been able to help you coupon. You're right - sometimes you encounter mean and spiteful cashiers. But then again, there are absolutely delightful and wonderful folks out there too! And don't worry, ain't no stopping us now...
Maybe our cats are related. I've learned long time ago not to put anything on the table or within reachable distance or it will become their new toy. :o)
Cats must be the most mischievious (sp?) animals. The other day one of mine, Midnight, scratched the pet food cabinet open. Next, he grabbed a bag of cat treats with his mouth and started carrying it through the living room!
