Restaurant Hopping

Song of the Day - Eiffel 65 - Blue - haha, remember this one?? I could never figure out if he was saying "I would bleed, I would die" or as my sister says "I'm in need of a guy". :)
Walgreens *Saturday - I've used up my gift cards so I've been hemming and hawing about going to WAG this week. But I decided free foil was just too good to pass up.
  • 6 Reynolds Wraps $0.89 each with in-circular coupon, used six $1 coupons (2/8 SS) = $0.66 profit
  • Scotch bubble mailer $1.99
  • Total was $1.85

CVS

  • 7 papers $2 each
  • Peppermint patty $0.50 (long since devoured)
  • Used $4 EB, $10 EB, total was $0.50

On Saturday night, DBF and I decided we didn't feel like cooking and were going to go out to dinner. Someone (who shall remain nameless) decided it would be a wonderful idea to jump all over me with muddy paws, so we had to wait a little bit until my pants were washed and dried. So by the time we headed out for that restaurant, it was primetime dinner time. We started at Houlihans but when we found out the wait was 30+ minutes, we decided to head to the TGIF that was right down the road. Mobbed. Sigh, turn around and head for a local yummy diner. Crazy mobbed! We couldn't believe it - the diner was mobbed?!? Double sigh. By now, both of our stomachs are growling up a storm. We spot a Friendly's and decide to give it a whirl. No lines! Hoorah. After a delightfully greasy dinner and some ice cream sundaes, we headed home with happy bellies. That lasted a couple of hours...until the indigestion kicked in! lol But it was nice to go out. As much as I scrimp and save, I have to let loose and splurge every once and a while.

On Sunday, we headed up to Woodbury Common, which is a collection of outlet stores in NY. It was a bit colder than we thought and we found ourselves popping into stores just to thaw out. :) I picked up two pairs of Dockers dress pants for around $40. Dockers really fit me well and they last a long time too, so I was happy with that find. I also tried on some Gap jeans that fit like a glove. I need them in a longer size than they carry in the store, so I'll order them from gap.com, hopefully once I can find a free shipping deal.

We brought Shadow over to the apartment for a quick visit with Gigi and Mousse. Mousse not exactly a welcoming host, so we just let him be. Gigi came out from her hiding spot after an hour or so and spent a lot of time trying to figure out what this big black cat was doing in her home. This was about as close as they got to each other!

"Momma - why won't that cat come any closer? I'm a nice puppy!"

The dog is like 'LUNCH!' LOL
Yea, weekends are tough going out. We did the same thing last weekend, hit Olive Garden with some gift cards. We got there before 6, more then an hour wait! But it was our date night, so we waited. This weekend, we wanted it again, but did take out. At 5pm, a one hour wait. YIKES. Take out took 15 minutes :)

Shadow is adorable! and yes, all cheaper restaurants are mobbed over the weekend now and more expensive ones are empty. We walked through the mall on saturday to look for some memory cards (my df is a gadget nuthead) and noticed the same thing.
