Busy, Busy Day

Song (and joke) of the Day - Brad Paisley - Bigger Fish to Fry
CVS
  • Irish Spring Body Wash $4.99, used $0.50 coupon (3/15 SS) and got back $4.99 EB (Limit 1, Sun, Mon & Tues only) = $0.50 profit
  • 2 Dry Idea deodorants $2.99 each, used two $2 coupon and got back $4 EB (Limit 3) = $2.02 profit *I bought the unscented here and it rang up $3.99 and did not produce EB's. The cashier returned them, adjusted them to $2.99, rerang them up and manually printed $4 EB for me.
  • Colgate Max White Toothpaste $2.99, used $0.50 coupon (2/22 or 3/15 SS) and got back $2.99 EB (Limit 1) = $0.50 profit
  • Reinventing Beauty magazine $0.99
  • Used $4 EB and $4.99 EB, total was messy with return

Walgreens

  • Listerine mouthwash, Reach Ultra Clean Toothbrush and Floss (30 yards) $3 each, used $3 off 3 coupon (3/15 SS) and got back $6 RR for buying all three = FREE
  • 2 Scotch mailers $0.99 each
  • 2 Scotch mailers $1.50 each
  • Used $10 RR, total was $1.96

RiteAid - finally thought of something to use my $10 Gift of Savings certificate and a $10 gift certificate from a rebate on...shipping supplies!

  • 3 Mailers $0.99 each
  • 3 Mailers $1.59 each
  • 3 Mailers $1.99 each
  • 5 Mailers $2.19 each
  • Used $10 Gift of Savings and $10 gift card, total was $5.69

Should have planned this better so it would have been closer to zero, but there were no prices listed on the shelf so I was flying blind.

Lunch break - hit up the Post Office to mail out a bunch of stuff. I walk in and its nice and deserted. Ahh, lovely. I wait for the gentleman ahead of me to buy his stamps, step up to the counter and WHAMMO! 10 people appear out of nowhere and are now waiting behind me in line. Ugh! I shipped about half of my packages and then zipped over to another Post Office close by to send the rest.

CVS

  • 2 Dry Idea scented deodorants $2.99 each, used two $2 coupon and got back $4 EB (Limit 3) = $2.02 profit *I ran these under the scanner before I paid. They came up as the $2.99 price so I knew they'd work.
  • Colgate Max White Toothpaste $2.99, used $0.50 coupon (2/22 or 3/15 SS) and got back $2.99 EB (Limit 1) = $0.50 profit
  • Sunchips $3, used $1 coupon (April All You magazine) = $2, Stacy's Chips $3, used $1 coupon (April All You magazine) = $2, 3 Baked Lays chips $3 each, used three $1 coupons (3/8 RP) = $6, got back $5 EB for buying $15 worth = $1 each
  • Used $2.99 EB, $10 EB, total was $1.48

After work - another CVS run

  • Irish Spring Body Wash $4.99, used $1.50 coupon (from Reinventing Beauty mag) and got back $4.99 EB (Limit 1, Sun, Mon & Tues only) = $1.50 profit
  • Used $2.99 EB, total was $0.64

Mr. Mousse much prefers this arrangement of my goods. He did it himself, can you tell? :)

Hey frugalsuz,
Just read about your Dri Idea problems. I had similar problems today. Tried to do 3 deals. Only 1 rang up $2.99 and printed ECBs. It was a regular scent. The other 2 deos were powder fresh scent, rang up $4.49 and printed no ECBs.
Of course, I didn't catch this until I got home!UGH I'll be going back to the store on Wed. to straighten this mess out. I hope I don't lose my $2 MQs redoing this.
Happy hounding!

slugmama,
Its weird, I guess they only had certain scents programmed in the system as working for the deal. What a hassle.

You shouldn't lose your coupon value. If they were $4.49 each, they should refund them for $4.49 each (don't mention you used coupons) and then re-ring them at the $2.99 price. You should get some money back for the difference in price and the EB's.

If that mail includes mine, Thanks so so so much!
