UP's to Rebates

RiteAid - the manager at this store manually inputted all my Boiron coupons. I think two of my $3 coupons stuck together because when I was at the second store, I only had one $3 coupon left to use. I know I printed four of them. Oh well

  • Children's Chestal Honey Homeopathic Cough Syrup (4.2 oz) $4.99, used $3 coupon and will get back $4 (SCR #12) = $2.01 profit *Counts towards Buy & Save promo
  • 2 Betty Crocker Cookie Mixes (17.5 oz) $2 each, used $1 off 2 RA coupon and two $0.40 off cookie mix coupon (or here), got back $2 UP (WYB 2) and two $1 UP's (monthly deal, $1 for each) = $1.80 profit

  • Chestal Cough with Honey Adult Formula (8.45 oz) $6.99, used $1 coupon and will get back $6 (SCR #13) = FREE/$0.01 profit *Counts towards Buy & Save promo

  • 2 MiniDrops Eye Therapy (30 ct) $4.99 each, used two $1 MiniDrops coupon and will get back $8 ($4 each, SCR #17, Limit 2) = FREE
  • 3 Garnier Moisturizers $7.99 (reg price), $6.39 with 20% discount, used three $2 coupons (12/5 or 2/6 RP) and three $3 in-circular coupons = $4.17 or $1.39 each
  • Used $1 Video Values coupon and $43.95 in UP's, total was $3.16, overall profit - $3.86
Realized when I got home that I bought the wrong size of Revitalens. The big one in the picture was $7.99 so I'll have to exchange it for the kind that's on rebate.

At the second store, I did the same transaction, except I got two Excedrins and four Betty Crockers. The manager here would not manually input my MiniDrops coupon (doesn't scan at all) because there was no expiration date on it. Sure enough, she was right! I also used one less $3 coupon, because like I said earlier, I think it stuck to the ones I used at the first store.

The cost of that transaction was $0.20, but would have been a moneymaker if all my coupons had been used. Its ok though, that's a hell of a lot of UP's that I've just turned into cash. It makes me nervous sometimes to have that much reward money lying around. Its sometimes hard to make the best use of it all!

DBF and I also stopped by ShopRite and used some catalinas on some prepared food from the deli. He got some fried chicken and I picked up a container of penne with vodka sauce. I'm going to use these purchases towards a Heineken NBPR rebate for $10 off a $10.01 purchase of "fresh and hot food selections" (HUSA8310).

Suz,

Have you noticed that the SCR for Revitalens is only giving what you paid after your wellness discount?

I have 10% off so my rebate is only reimbursing me for $4.49 that I paid. No moneymaker or even extra to cover tax on the item. Boo-hoo!

I thought about calling RA, but SCR says "up to $4.99".

Yeah, I only got back what I paid as well. Bummer!
