Cheap Paper Towels

Walgreens - I'm almost out of soda, so I'm planning on buying four Colgates and then using those RR's towards Pepsi. The cashier today rang up my toothpaste and then gave me my total. I asked - did you ring up the Scott as well? He said - oh no, what you want to do is buy the Colgate, then use those rewards towards the Scott. Now I appreciate his willingness to help me save money, I really do, but it would have been nice if he'd asked me if that's what I'd like to do. I had to explain that I had a plan for my Colgate RR's and that I'd like to purchase the Scott and Colgate together. He looked at me like I had three eyes and rang me up as I requested. He also rang up one of my $1.50 Scott coupons, then the $1 WAG coupon and then the second $1.50 coupon, which of course beeped. I had him take off the second Scott and I bought it in my next transaction. He had me so flummoxed that I didn't realize what the problem was until after I'd paid and left the store.
  • Colgate Maxfresh, Maxwhite or Maxclean Toothpaste (6 oz) $2.99, used $0.75 coupon (4/3 SS) and got back $3 RR = $0.75 profit
  • Scott Naturals Paper Towels (6 pack) $5, used $1.50 coupon and $1 Walgreens coupon (monthly coupon book) = $2.50 - saw this great deal on A Super Savvy Saver
  • Total was $4.95
Repeated and then bought a third Colgate separately (did this at two stores). I haven't bought paper towels in ages and I'm down to about 6 rolls, so this deal came at a great time for me. I'm going to print out some more $1.50 coupons on another computer tomorrow and go back for more. $5 is the regular price so you have until 4/30 (when the WAG coupon expires) to grab some of these for yourself. I swear I had a fourth Colgate coupon with me but when it came time to use it, it was nowhere to be found. It must have stuck to one of the other coupons I used. I'll finish out this deal tomorrow or Friday.

I found $3 Neilmed peelies at WAG while I was poking around, so I had to take a trip to Rite Aid. Here's what I got there -
  • Neilmed Nasadock Plus Drying Stand $6, used $3 peelie coupon and got back $6 UP (Limit 1) = $3 profit
  • 4 Carefree Pantiliners (18 ct) $1.19 each ($1.49 reg price, $1.25 sale price, my 20% discount was better so I got that price), used two $2 off 2 coupons (these were major beepers) and got back $1 UP (WYB 4) = $0.24 profit
  • Total was $3.76
Then I bought another Nasadock (on a separate card) = $3 profit These count towards the Allergy Promo this week ($5 UP WYB $25 of select items listed in the circular). The $2 Carefree coupon isn't good on 20 or 22 count packages, so look for these older style 18 count ones.

CVS - on my old card
  • Complete Multipurpose Eye Solution (12 oz) $8.99, used $1 coupon (4/3 SS) and got back $8.99 EB (Limit 1) = $1 profit
  • 2 Right Guard Total Defense Body Washes (13.5 oz) $3.88 each, used BOGO coupon (cashier took off $4.99, 3/13 RP) and got back $3 EB (Limit 1) = $0.23 profit
  • Crest Pro-Health Complete Rinse (16.9 oz) $3.49, used $1 coupon (4/3 P&G) and got back $2.50 EB (Limit 2) = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • 2 Oral-B Manual Toothbrushes $2.99 each, used two $2 coupons (4/3 P&G) and got back $1.98 EB ($0.99 EB each, Limit 2) = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • Wonka Sweettarts Candy $1.99, used FREE CRT (got this today) = FREE *How cute are candies shaped like carrots?!?
  • Stamps $8.80
  • Used $6.99 EB and two $7 EB's, total was $4.49
Then to finish out the week, on DBF's card, I got:
  • Complete Multipurpose Eye Solution (12 oz) $8.99, used $1 coupon (4/3 SS) and got back $8.99 EB (Limit 1) = $1 profit
  • Oral-B Manual Toothbrush $2.99, used $2 coupon (4/3 P&G) and got back $0.99 EB (Limit 2) = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • 2 Right Guard Total Defense Body Washes (13.5 oz) $3.88 each, used BOGO coupon (3/13 RP) and got back $3 EB (Limit 1) = $0.88
  • Stamps $8.80
  • Used $7 EB and $9.99 EB, total was $4.48

Thanks for the heads up on the paper towels. I printed the Q's, used the book Q, and got four packages for $11.20.
