Not Quite as Planned

I purposely waited until today to do my RA shopping so that my UP's would be good until Thanksgiving/Black Friday. Alas, neither store I went to had the low dose Bufferin I was looking for ($3 coupon & TMF rebate in 10/17 SS) so it threw off my plans a bit. Here's what I got:

My card
  • Dr. Scholl's Fast Flats $7.99 ($9.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), used $2 in-circular coupon (p. 7), $4 RA coupon (Oct. Video Values) and $4 coupon (Oct. All You magazine) = $2.01 profit
  • Crest Whitening plus Scope Outlast Toothpaste (4 oz) $2.99, used $0.75 coupon (10/10 P&G) and got back $2.99 UP = $0.75 profit *Limit on this deal is one
  • 2 Tugaboos Diapers $0.79 each ($0.99 reg. price, 20% Wellness discount), used two $1 coupons (found inside package) = $0.42 profit
  • Nivea Men's Body Wash $3.99, used $3 coupon and got back $1 UP = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • Total was $1.08 - too low to use any of the UP's I had!
DBF's card
  • Crest Whitening plus Scope Outlast Toothpaste (4 oz) $2.99, used $0.75 coupon (10/10 P&G) and got back $2.99 UP = $0.75 profit *Limit on this deal is one
  • Kellogg's Crackers $1.99, got back $1 UP = $0.99
  • EPT Pregnancy Test (for a friend, don't all freak out on me haha) $10.99, used $5 coupon (9/12 SS) and got back $2 UP = $3.99
  • Used $7 UP and three $1 UP's, total was $1.20
Buying the crackers got me thinking, you could use these towards the $10 rebate that's out now! The forms are available in select stores (I found mine at ShopRite) or ebay. You get back $10 when you buy 10 qualifying items in one transaction. So you could buy 10 cookies or crackers for $1.99 each, use a $4 off $20 Video Values or $5/$25 coupon (you'd have to pick up a filler or two) and the $1 off 2 Oct. Video Values coupon if you have that. You'd get back ten $1 UP's, so $5.90 with the $4/$20 or $4.90 with the $5/$25. Then with the $10 rebate, you've got a small moneymaker! I'm going to try this tomorrow. The challenge will be finding a store with 10 items in stock.

I'm not understanding how the crackers would be free.

Ten at $1.99 would be $19.90. With no coupons it would be $9.90. Using a 4/20 would still be $5.90.

Help!

Duh, sorry forgot to add that you get back a $1 UP for each. So that makes it $9.90 OOP and you get back the $10 rebate.

It's nice to see the comments are back! Don't you hate when you have to recalculate everything because product is not on shelf?

Stephanie,
Me too! I really missed hearing from you all!

mb,
My store had them in a freestanding display. I snagged a couple extra if you're interested, I could send them off to you.
