Rockin' at Rite Aid

Rite Aid - the first store I went to only had three Bic razors.  Silly me, it didn't occur to me until I hit the second store that I can buy them in sets of two.  I'll swing by tomorrow and pick those up.

  • 2 Luster Now Mouthrinses (16 oz) $5.59 each ($6.99 reg price, 20% discount), used two $1.50 coupons, two $1.25 RA coupons (Oral Health coupon booklet) and will get back $6 ($3 each, SCR #28, Limit 2) = $0.32 profit
  • Poland Spring 24 pk Bottled Water $4.39 ($5.49 reg price, 20% discount), will send away for $4 Budweiser NBPR rebate on $4.01 of water (#32763) = $0.39
  • Wahl Ear/Nose/Brow Trimmer $7.99 ($9.99 reg price, 20% discount), used $5 circular coupon and got back $2 UP (Limit 2) = $0.99 *The $5 coupon would not go through.  It scanned without a beep, but didn't take any discount off.  They had to put it through manually so be sure to watch and make sure you get the discount
  • Used $3 UP and $10 UP, total was $1.05

Second store of the day -

  • 2 Luster Now Mouthrinses (16 oz) $5.59 each ($6.99 reg price, 20% discount), used two $1.50 coupons, two $1.25 RA coupons (Oral Health coupon booklet) and will get back $6 ($3 each, SCR #28, Limit 2) = $0.32 profit

  • 2 Gracious Living Accessory Boxes $2.24 each (25% sale this week, normally $2.99 each), will get back $5 (SCR #44, $5 WYB 2, Limit 3) = $0.52 profit
  • 2 Bic Silky Touch women's disposable razors $3.99 each, BOGO 50% off so second was $1.99, used two $3 coupons (8/5 SS) = FREE/$0.02 profit *Now have $5.98 towards the $10 I need to spend to get back a $4 UP (WYB $10, Limit 4)
  • Snapple 6 pack $4.79 ($5.99 reg price, 20% discount), will send away for TMF peelie rebate = FREE
  • Pumpkin Decoration $11.99 ($14.99 reg price, 20% discount)

How cute is that pumpkin?  I didn't expect it to be quite so much, but there was no price on the sticker.  I took it to the register hoping for the best.

M&M's and the Movies

Stop & Shop

The limit on this rebate is four, so I bought all 6 bags at once, BUT you have to mail each rebate in separately.  I'll have to make a trip back to the store to return & rebuy three of the bags.  Duh!

Rainbows, Deer and Monthly Totals

There's no rhyme or reason for combining these various things into one post, other than I don't feel like creating three separate posts.  Well there you go, I guess that's the reason.
We've had the craziest storms this summer.  Its either been 100 degrees and muggy or violently storming.  Summer weather for you I guess.
This beautiful rainbow appeared after another bout of thunder and lightening hit us.  This storm actually knocked over a tree in the backyard.  It didn't hit anything or anyone thank goodness.
Sure is pretty!  Isn't it cool how the sky under the rainbow is so much brighter than the sky above it?  There's probably a reason for that, but I didn't always pay attention in science class.
Back to a hot, muggy day, I started to let Shadow out in the back yard when I noticed Gigi intently watching something in the back yard.  Deer!  Its rare to see these guys in the yard during the day.
Never fear, Gigi the Vigilant is on the case.  Notice her perfectly aligned paws on the piece of wood.  She's ready for anything!

On that note, are you ready for some monthly totals?  I haven't done this in a while, but I haven't had a month this good in ages.  Here we go -

July 2012 Monthly Totals
  • Merchandise Total (before coupons): $3,149.12
  • Value of Coupons/Store Sales: $909.54
  • Rewards/Gift Cards/EB's Used: $1,441.41
  • Rewards/Gift Cards/EB's Earned: $1,964.07
  • Rebates $588.37
  • Cost for the whole month NEGATIVE $235.27!
  • Number of Items 712, Number of Free Items 596
That means I made a profit of over $200 this month.  Lately, its been more like I'm spending $200 so I was very happy with this month.

My CVS Trip

CVS - received two 25% off coupons in my email (two separate cards) so I decided to put them to good use -

  • 6 papers $2 each
  • Demasilk Flawless $29.99, used $5 coupon (8/5 RP) and got back $10 EB (Limit 1)
  • Used $4 off $20 coupon and 25% off coupon (took off $9.50), $3 EB and $10 EB, total was $12.14
My post-coupon total was $25.14 minus the $10 EB earned for the Dermasilk makes this transaction a total of $15.14.  The Dermasilk should sell on ebay for around $15, so I'm very happy with this deal.

On another card, I bought:

  • Demasilk Skin Perfect $29.99, used $5 coupon (8/5 RP) and got back $10 EB (Limit 1)
  • Used $4 off $20 coupon and 25% off coupon (took off $6.25), $1 EB, $2 EB, $4 EB and $6 EB, total was $3.26
This transaction had a total cost of $6.26.  Love it!

The 25% discount was calculated after my $4 off $20 coupon was taken off.  That would have been $29.99 - $4 = $25.99, which would have been $6.49.  So its some kind of wonky drugstore math to end up at $6.25.  But at least that gives you some idea of what amount will be taken off.

Oh My

I went to so many Rite Aid's today that I've honestly lost track.  I was on the hunt for the Lichi stuff.  I obviously lucked out at some stores but more often than not, someone had beaten me there.  Just the nature of the game.  Huge, huge, HUGE thank you to Sheila for posting about the Lichi deal!

Rite Aid

  • 2 Lichi Super Fruit Meal Replacements $7.99 each ($9.99 reg price, 20% discount), got back $10 UP (weekly deal, WYB 2, Limit 2 offers) and $20 UP (monthly deal,  WYB 2, Limit 2 offers) = $14.02 profit
  • 4 Futuro Knee Highs $10.99 each, BOGO 50% off sale so two were $5.49 each, used four $3 coupons, got back $10 UP (WYB $25) and will send away for two $10 rebates (need peelie rebate found on package, Limit 2) = $9.04 profit
  • 2 Visine $4.23 each ($5.29 reg price, 20% discount), used two $2 circular coupons and two $2 coupons (7/29 RP) = $0.23 each, got back $10 UP (WYB $30).  I bought 8 Visines at $0.23 a piece, so $8.16 profit
  • 2 Crest Pro Health Rinses $5 each (one 946 mL or larger, one 473 mL), used BOGO coupon (7/1 P&G) and two $1 RA coupons (Oral Health coupon booklet found in stores) and got back two $3 UP's ($3 each, Limit 2) = $3 profit
  • Lanacane $5, got back $5 UP (Limit 1) and $1 UP (monthly deal, Limit ?) = $1 profit
  • Super Poligrip Denture Adhesive Cream (0.75 oz) $1.99, will get back $1.99 (August SCR #585) = FREE

On my two 20% cards, I bought three sets of two Lichi at $7.99 each, so that's a $42.06 profit.  One store only had one of the meal replacement kits, so I got that plus a total body detox kit for $15.99 ($19.99 reg price, 20% discount).  $7.99 + $15.99 - $30 UP's = $6.02 profit.  I also bought two on a non-discount card.  Of course, they were priced at $10.49 at this store, so $10.49 x 2 - $30 UP's = $9.02 profit.

All in all, that made my day an overall profit of $78.30!!!!!  This reminds me of several years ago when there were more deals than I had time for.

CVS

  • Cremo Shave Cream $7.99, will submit for TMF rebate (have to include the orange TMF label from the package when you submit the form, must be postmarked by 12/31/14) = FREE
  • 3 Hellmann's Mayos $3.50 each, used three $0.70 coupons (7/29 RP) and got back $3 EB (WYB $10, Limit 1) = $5.40
  • 2 Gatorades $0.88 each
  • Used $4/$20 coupon, $0.67 EB, $1 EB, $3 EB and $3 EB, total was $2.99
