Super Cheap Soap Refills at PC

Price Chopper - got this deal from Sheila!  I don't know what I'd do without her PC posts.  Thanks Sheila!
  • 2 Softsoap Refills (32 oz) $2.29 each, used two $0.50 coupons (3/25 SS) = $2.58
  • Colgate Toothpaste $2, used $0.75 coupon (3/25 SS) = $0.50
  • 2 Wise Ridgies Chips $3 each
  • Cape Cod Chips $3.79
  • Ruffles Chips $4.29
  • Pop Secret Popcorn $3.99
  • Used $2.50 catalina and $3.20 in bottle deposit refunds, total was $16.04
Got back a $3 catalina for buying the Softsoap and Colgate ($3 WYB $10, based on shelf prices) making those items $0.08!  Its so hard to find deals on these big soap refills, let alone getting two for $0.08.  I'll also use the chips and popcorn towards a $10 Heineken rebate on $15.01 of salty snacks.

I bought a second set of the Softsoap and Colgate - used the $3 catalina from the first transaction to pay and only had to fork over $0.51 after tax.

After shopping, we filled up my tank with gas using the $0.70/gallon discount earned at Price Chopper.  It ended up costing $3.29 a gallon.  The only downside is having to pump your own gas.  I typically get my gas in NJ and am spoiled by the attendants.  But for a $0.70 discount, I can get over my laziness.

Rite Aid
  • 4 U By Kotex Liners $1 each, used four $1 coupons (3/25 SS) = FREE

When you send in your rebates to Heineken, do you send UPCs off chip bags? If so, how do you get them off the bage if you haven't actually broken into the bag yet? I hate to waste rebates by doing them wrong but I also can't see opening a bag of chips before I'm ready to eat them! I've considered retaping them at the UPC spot-- it just seems so wrong though :).

FYI, I got the Zyrtec refund check back, only $3.64!?! It's all profit but I don't know how they arrived @ that figure.

Karen,
Nope, I don't send in UPC's unless the form specifically says they're required and I can't remember the last time I came across one of those.

Sheila,
That's weird! Still, better than nothing.

I was going to write the same thing as Karen! I was wondering how to get the upc codes off the snacks too! The heineken and both the $5 and $10 newcastle pubgrub require upcs. I purchased a ton of peanuts for those. Easy peasy, upcs on exterior of the jar. Not sure how to tackle the chip bags, tho..

Nah, you just have to send in UPC's for the beer I believe. I think I already got one of these rebates back in the mail and I didn't send in chip UPC's.
