Here Comes Trouble

See this sleeping cat? From that innocent little face, you'd never suspect the cunning that lies within. I was reading on my balcony Friday afternoon, enjoying the sunshine and beautiful weather. Gigi and Mousse had been out with me for a while, but I let Mousse back inside because he was pawing the door. Then of course, he wasn't happy being inside and was pawing at the door from the inside. A couple of times, he managed to push the door open about six inches or so, and then would jump back in surprise when the door slammed shut. Gigi calmly sat outside with me, watching her brother's antics. We decided to head back inside, so I gathered up the cushions and my book and pulled the handle on the door. Nuthin. Hmm, I thought, he must have gotten it jammed on the top, so I pulled a little harder. Nuthin. Hmm, I thought, he must have really gotten it jammed, so I really yanked it. Nuthin. Hmm, I thought again. That's odd, so I peer around the edges of the door searching for the problem.
This is what I saw. Seriously?!? In the midst of him messing around with the door, he managed to wiggle the hook right into the hole, effectively locking me outside. Once I managed to get my laughing under control, I consulted with Gigi about our dilemma. I'm on the second floor so too high to jump. My boyfriend has a key, but he lives far away and I had put the chain on my front door when I came home, so that was a no-go. Sigh, nothing to do but rip the screen, so I pulled it away from the side, poked my finger inside and freed us. What a little punk! Oh and please disregard the nasty peeling paint and rusty hook. Not the prettiest part of my apartment!
CVS - I'm very excited that CVS is running their egift card promo again. They did this around Christmas time. In a nutshell, you order a $25 egift card and get a $5 bonus. CVS emails you the egift card right away and you can use it in the store just like any other gift card. Love it! I ordered a $100 one, so I'll get a $20 bonus.
DBF's card:
  • Depends Variety Pack (6 ct) $6.99, used $2 coupon and got back $6.99 EB (Limit 1) = $2 profit
  • Used $4.49 EB, total was $0.50, also got back $1 EB for using my green bag tag and reusable bags

Thanks for the info about the egift card! I will have to get one again. Cats can be mischevious little things sometimes....but you gotta love them!

We, too have a black cat that likes to cause trouble...his nickname is "evil boy". How can they look so cute and innocent yet wreak such havoc?!

Shelly,
No problem, I was excited to see they're doing it again.

Deb,
I have no idea! He can be such a little devil sometimes.

That is too funny! I think animals are smarter then we give them credit for! Glad you were able to get back in!
