Remembering
I don't know about all of you, but I avoided watching the 9/11 coverage yesterday. Thinking back to that day and all the lives that were lost always brings me to tears. I was heading to an early morning class in college when I heard about the attack from one of the security guards on campus. I remember watching the second tower fall on tv, watching that plane fly right into it. Even typing these words, I can feel my stomach drop. Watching that enormous dust cloud come crashing towards the cameras and cringing, even though it was only on tv. Hearing a fellow student playing his bag pipes on campus. Not knowing what was going to happen next and whether or not I was safe at school, or anywhere.
On Saturday morning, driving on the highway I saw what had to be thousands of people on motorcycles. I drove for at least 10 miles and didn't see the end or the beginning of the line. The riders were lined up, two per lane for miles. Some rode with American flags streaming behind them, some rode with their firefighter's helmets on, some rode with their police uniforms. I passed people waving from bridges, people waving and taking pictures from the side of the road and an enormous flag strung between two construction ladders. It was amazing to see so many people united and riding together.
My hunny and I went about our normal business on Sunday but it was hard not to reflect back.
Rite Aid
- 2 Caldesene Baby Care Items $4.99 each, used two $1 Caldesene coupons and got back two $4 UP's (Limit 2) = FREE/$0.01 profit
There was no tax on these for me, so this was a great deal. I got a bunch on different cards and I'm keeping some for me for someday and am doing some shopping for a gal at work who is expecting.

I remember watching the planes hit while @ work & that horrible feeling of dread. I had a job interview that same afternoon & suddenly a new job didn't feel so important. I felt dreadful again yesterday. Anniversaries aren't always happy ones.
