Happy Memorial Day!

DBF got Shadow a spiffy new dog bed, just for her visits up to my place. She lovez it.
Gigi's not quite as excited about it. But she does love her blue fuzzy kong octopus toy!
CVS

  • Used $8 EB, total was $2.67
Repeated on my two other cards, except I bought 2 Act bottles on DBF's card.

Walgreens - I guess Walgreens realized that their stock of Ritz Crackerfills wasn't gonna cut it, so they programmed in Ritz, Wheat Thins and Triscuits crackers in as part of the deal. Even better! These weren't signed in any stores I went to, but I got the sale price and the RR without a problem. The sale on these is valid through today only.
  • Wheat Thins/Triscuits Crackers $2, got back $2 RR = FREE

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Rite Aid
  • 2 Tylenol Precise Patches or Creams $5 each (raincheck price), used two $5 coupons and got back $10 Weekend Warrior UP (WYB $25, Limit 2, Valid until 6/25) = $10 profit *I had $15 towards this deal previously
  • Lamisil AT Gel (0.42 oz) $8.99, used $2 coupon, got back $1 UP (Limit 4) and will get back $5 (SCR #19) = $0.99
  • 2 Nabisco snack crackers $0.63 each ($0.79 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), will get back $2 (SCR #48, $2 WYB $10 Nabisco cookies/crackers, Limit 2) *I had $9.45 in prior purchases towards this SCR
  • Alive Men's Vitamins $8.79 ($10.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), used $2 coupon (3/6 or 5/22 SS) and will get back $2 (SCR #27) = $4.79
  • Used $3/$15 survey coupon and two $6 UP's, total was $0.04, overall profit for transaction $7.96
I bought two Nabisco cookies so I could use a second $6 UP. The Weekend Warrior was what made this transaction a moneymaker. Without this item, these items would have cost $2.04 - still not bad for rolling/converting UP's to cash.

Be on the lookout for Ensure 6 pack TMF tearpad rebates or Osmocote Indoor/Outdoor 3 lb. jar of plant food ($10 - $13) for this $10 rebate. I wasn't able to find either, but hopefully I'll have better luck at another store. Does anyone else love the thrill of the hunt?

Be Careful with Whom You Snuggle

Its a bit blurry, but this is a picture of my upper arm and the scratch that's now living on it. Wanna guess how I got this cut? Gigi! And that's not even the worst of it!

Last night, I was watching Grey's Anatomy before drifting off. Gigi was snuggled in the crook of my arm on the bed with me. Snoring away, she was totally asleep by the time the credits came on. I turned off the tv and started to roll on my side, which apparently woke her inner tiger. Totally freaking out, she scratched the hell out of my arm and head-butted my cheek. It felt like the receiving end of a Mike Tyson punch. Groaning and clutching my cheek, it was all I could do to lay there until the pain subsided to a dull roar. She watched me from the floor, a strange expression on her face. I'm not sure if she was apologizing or hiding a smirk.

I expected to have a black and blue mark when I woke up today but my face is perfectly ordinary as usual. Its still tender to the touch and hurts when I smile. Imagine my surprise when I saw that one of the scratches was smiley-face-shaped. Is it just me, or does that look like a smirk to you?

Deductive Reasoning and Couponing

Revlon coupons suck. For years, they have beeped when using them on nail polishes and its a royal pain in the rear. Nail polish is obviously a cosmetic, but once that coupon beeps, chances are your cashier will say otherwise. I tried to avoid that scenario today by buying items that others had reported were beep-less. I'd heard that the trauma nail treatment and the top coats were ok to buy, so:
  • 3 Revlon Nail Polishes $4.99 each, used three $2 coupons (5/8 SS) and got back $12 EB ($4 EB each, Limit 6) = $3.03 profit
  • Used $5.54 EB, total was $1.48 and got back $1 EB for using green bag tag
I got two out of three beeps on this transaction. The bottle on the left and in the middle both begin with UPC 09978. The clear coat on the right is UPC 09105. I suspect the one on the right was the troublemaker. The cashier was nice and manually entered the third coupon in for me.
Then I went to another store and got another 0997 item and the Top Speed Nail Enamel, which I'd also heard was good to go (UPC 03370). This was on a different card:
  • 2 Revlon Nail Polishes $4.99 each, used two $2 coupons (5/8 SS) and got back $8 EB ($4 EB each, Limit 6) = $2.02 profit
  • Used $5.54 EB, total was $1.14
Again, the dreaded beep (just one). I suspect it was the Top Speed stuff, even though that was ok for someone else. Maybe just certain colors work?
Finally, store #3 and on a third card - I went for the gold and just got the 0997 items. BEEP-LESS! What a wonderful thing. I suggest you just buy this line of items and save yourself a headache.
  • 3 Revlon Nail Polishes $4.99 each, used three $2 coupons (5/8 SS) and got back $12 EB ($4 EB each, Limit 6) = $3.03 profit
  • Trident Vitality Gum (9 - 14 ct) $0.99, got back $0.99 EB (Limit 1) = FREE
  • Used $1 EB and $7.99 EB, total was $2.02
Then separately but on the same card, I bought:
  • 2 Revlon Nail Polishes $4.99 each, used two $2 coupons (5/8 SS) and got back $8 EB ($4 EB each, Limit 6) = $2.02 profit
  • Used $5.54 EB, total was $1.14
I broke up my transactions at the third store so I wouldn't end up with a huge $20 EB to spend. I also managed to roll all the EB's that are expiring soon. Its getting harder and harder to do that!

ShopRite - haven't found any margarita, appletini or mohito flavors yet. Anyone spotted these?
  • 8 Crystal Lites $1.99 each, used eight $1 coupons (or here) = $7.93 or $0.99 each
  • Turkey Hill ice cream $1.77
  • Got $0.05 bag discount, total was $9.64

  • 2 Freschetta Pizza by the Slice $2.29 each, will send away for TMF rebate found inside box (Limit 2, Exp. 5/31) = FREE
  • Dannon yogurt $0.50
  • Used $5 catalina, total was $0.08
To my surprise, I found a new Dean Koontz Frankenstein book while I was poking around the store. I didn't even know this was out! I love Dean Koontz, and especially love the Frankenstein series.
  • Frankenstein Book $9.99
  • Used $5 catalina, total was $5.69
Another surprise! I found these hangtag rebates on bottles of Xtra liquid laundry detergent. They are valid for ANY bottle of Xtra detergent, up to $6.99. Purchase must be made between 3/1/11 and 7/31/11. Keep your eyes peeled!

Done?

Every time I think I'm done with RiteAid for the week, it seems something else pops up. But I think this may be it. Maybe. No I'm definitely done. Probably.

I used up all my UP's, except for three $6 UP's that I'll roll into Lamisil next week. Next week is going to be about the Crystal Lite! Its on sale for $1.99 at ShopRite and there are $1 coupons floating around. That's all fine and dandy, what I'm stoked about are their new flavors - appletini, mohito and margarita! I hope I can find them in my stores.

Let's RiteAid baby!

First transaction
  • RA Brand Men's 3 Blade Razor $4.79 ($5.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), used $2 peelie coupon, $1 RA coupon (May Video Values) and got back $2 UP (Limit 4) = $0.21 profit
  • Similac Ready to Feed Advanced or Sensitive $4.99, used $5 coupon (4/3 or 5/1 SS) = FREE/$0.01 profit *This was a raincheck item from last week
  • Colgate Surround 360 Toothbrush $2.99, used $0.75 coupon (5/1 SS) and got back $2 UP (Limit 2) = $0.24
  • 5 Nabisco snack crackers $0.63 each ($0.79 reg price, 20% Wellness discount) = $3.15 *Also count towards SCR #48 ($2 WYB $10 Nabisco cookies/crackers, Limit 2) I'm up to $9.45 with my previous purchases so one more should do it.
  • Used $3/$15 survey coupon and two $2 UP's, total was $0.61, overall cost of the transaction was $0.61, so I'm getting these Nabisco cookies for really cheap.
Then at a second store, I got:
  • Calgon Bath Powder $2.39 ($2.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), used $1 coupon and got back $2 UP (monthly deal, valid until 5/31) =$0.61 profit *I read somewhere there might be a coupon coming in Sunday's paper for this!
  • RA Brand Men's 3 Blade Razor $4.79 ($5.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), used $2 peelie coupon, $1 RA coupon (May Video Values) and got back $2 UP (Limit 4) = $0.21 profit
  • 2 Tylenol Precise Patches or Creams $5 each, used two $5 coupons = FREE *This was a raincheck item from last week and also counts towards $10 Weekend Warrior UP deal ($10 UP WYB $25, Limit 2, Valid until 6/25). I had $5 towards this deal previously, so once I buy two more, I'll get back a $10 UP.
  • Used $3/$15 survey coupon, total was $0.60, overall profit $3.40
Then finally, I got:
  • Rimmel Match Perfect Foundation $8.99, used $2 coupon (or here) and will get back $3 (SCR #4)
  • 3 Rimmel Eye/Eyebrow Pencils $3.79 and $3.99 each, BOGO 50% off sale so one was $1.89, one was $1.99 and one was $3.79 (so confusing!), used three $2 coupons (or here) and got back $5 UP (WYB $15 of Rimmel, Limit 2)
  • Used $3/$15 survey coupon, $1 RA coupon for non-prescription purchase (May Video Values) and two $2 UP's, total was $1.48, overall profit $2.52
Rainchecks are so great. The stores around me were out of Tylenol and Similac last week, so I picked up the rainchecks to get these items free another week. But even better than that, they helped me squeeze out two more $15 scenarios for very little out of pocket. I gave all the regular varieties of Similac to a gal at work with the most adorable little munchkin at home. She doesn't need the sensitive variety, so I'll bring those to the food bank and hopefully help out another mom. I wish I could have picked her up a couple more bottles, but the stores are still out of the regular variety.

The Beauty of Cut & Paste

I downloaded Google Chrome and now I can cut and paste again! IE was giving me difficulty with this ages ago so I downloaded Firefox. Try blogging without being able to copy & paste! Its no fun typing out links to coupons and retyping deals over and over. Last weekend, my computer contracted yet another doozy of a virus and after many hours in the capable hands of Geek Squad, it was fixed but minus the Firefox. I don't know if I'm getting the viruses due to Firefox, but since they took it off, I figured I wouldn't chance it and I'd try another browser. So far I really like it!
CVS - had about $16 in EB's that are expiring soon. Doesn't it seem like forever since there's been a great deal here?
  • 2 Neutrogena Sun Blocks $9.89 each, used two $2 coupons, got back $10 EB (WYB 2, Limit 1) and will send away for $6 Bud Light NBPR rebate (WYB $10+ of beach items, #30097) = $0.22 profit
  • Sun Chips $0.99
  • Used $16.49 in EB's, total was $1.10
On to Rite Aid! Did this on a 20% Wellness discount card. If you're going to do the Rimmel deal, be forewarned that not all stores carry Rimmel yet. I guess its pretty new to RA. Your best bet is to try a larger RA store.
  • 2 Colgate Surround 360 Toothbrushes $2.99 each, used $1/2 RA coupon (balloon coupon sheet from donation) and two $1 coupons (April or May All You magazine) and got back two $2 UP's (Limit 2) = $1.02 profit
  • Calgon Bath Powder $2.39 ($2.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), used $1 coupon and got back $2 UP (monthly deal, valid until 5/31) = $0.61 profit *This coupon has reset
  • RA Brand Men's 3 Blade Razor $4.79 ($5.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), used $2 peelie coupon, $1 RA coupon (May Video Values) and got back $2 UP (Limit 4) = $0.21 profit
  • 3 Nabisco snack crackers $0.63 each ($0.79 reg price, 20% Wellness discount) = $1.89 *Also count towards SCR #48 ($2 WYB $10 Nabisco cookies/crackers, Limit 2) I had bought 3 previously, so I'm up to $3.78
  • No Nonsense Liners $0.80 ($1 regular price), used $1 RA coupon (balloon donation coupon sheet or May Video Values) = $0.20 profit
  • 2 Reese's Eggs - clearanced to $0.08 each - picked up so I could use my UP's
  • Used $3/$15 survey coupon and $5 UP, total was $0.77, overall profit $2.23
Then at a second store and on DBF's card, I bought:
  • Calgon Bath Powder $2.39 ($2.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), used $1 coupon and got back $2 UP (monthly deal, valid until 5/31) = $0.61 profit
  • RA Brand Men's 3 Blade Razor $4.79 ($5.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), used $2 peelie coupon, $1 RA coupon (May Video Values) and got back $2 UP (Limit 4) = $0.21 profit
  • Rimmel Match Perfect Foundation $7.19 ($8.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), used $3 coupon (May All You magazine - this would not scan), will get back $3 (SCR #4) and this counts towards the Rimmel deal this week) = $1.19
  • Colgate Surround 360 Toothbrush $2.99, used $0.75 coupon (5/1 SS) and got back $2 UP (Limit 2) = $0.24
  • 4 Nabisco snack crackers $0.63 each ($0.79 reg price, 20% Wellness discount) = $2.52 *Also count towards SCR #48 ($2 WYB $10 Nabisco cookies/crackers, Limit 2) I had bought 6 previously, so I'm up to $6.30
  • Gauze for coworker $1.59 - she paid me back so this was just a filler to get to $15
  • Used $3/$15 survey coupon and two $6 UP's, total was $0.65, cost of transaction = $5.06
Then finally, at store #3. This store's regular prices are higher than all others in my area, so I didn't bother getting the razors or Calgon here since they wouldn't be as good a deal.
  • Rimmel Eye Liner $6.49 and Mascara $1.84 ($3.69 reg price, BOGO 50% off sale), used two $2 coupons (or here) and got back $5 UP (WYB $15 of Rimmel, Limit 2) = $0.52 all in all (not counting the $3/$15 coupons)
  • Similac Ready to Feed Advanced or Sensitive $4.99, used $5 coupon (4/3 or 5/1 SS) = FREE/$0.01 profit *This was a raincheck item from last week
  • Oral B Cross Action Toothbrush $2.99, used $1.50 coupon (5/1 P&G) and got back $2 UP (Limit 2) = $0.51 profit
  • Used $3/$15 survey coupon and $1 RA non-prescription purchase coupon (May Video Values), total was $2.34
All in all, I spent $20.76 today in cash and UP's. I got back $21 in UP's, $1.59 in cash and will get back $3 in SCR's = $4.83 overall profit.

Duh Duh Duh

Rite Aid - used my new card for these transactions. If you're at 10% or 20%, the diapers will ring up less than $10 ($11.99 regular price) so you'd need to buy something else to reach $20.
  • 2 Oral B Cross Action Toothbrushes $2.99 each, used two $2 coupons (got at Dentist's office) and got back two $2 UP's (Limit 2) = $2.02 profit
  • Huggies Little Snugglers Diapers $10, used $3 coupon = $7
  • Used $3/$15 survey coupon and $1 off non-prescription purchase coupon and $2 UP, total was $3.23
Then at the next store, I finished out the Huggies UP deal and messed up the Oral B deal. Its limit 2, so why did I buy four on the same card?
  • 8 Reese's Eggs - 90% clearance $0.08 each, used $0.50/2 RA coupon (April Video Values) = $0.14
  • 2 Oral B Cross Action Toothbrushes $2.99 each, used two $1.50 coupons (5/1 P&G) = $2.98
  • Half gallon milk and smaller bottle $1.49 and $2.39 each
  • Huggies Little Snugglers Diapers $10, used $3 coupon and got back $5 UP for spending $20 worth (Limit 2) = $9
  • Used $3/$15 survey coupon, $5 UP and $6 UP, total was $0.24
All in all, the diapers should have been free with the profit from the Oral B ($20 - $3 Q - $3 Q - $5 UP - $3/$15 - $3/$15 = $3 OOP - minus profit from other items). I can't believe I forgot to check that limit! I'll return the non-UP producing set tomorrow.

My computer is being retarded right now and not letting me cut and paste links. Anyone know how to fix that in IE? The $3 Huggies coupon is listed in my 5/15 - 5/21 post.

Umm...

Well that's weird. Blogger seems to have deleted any activity on my blog since Wednesday afternoon. Wednesday night's post -- POOF! If you made a comment and you no longer see it, please don't be offended. It wasn't me.

I Got on the Boat...Banana Boat

Rite Aid - I had $10 in Tylenol purchases from yesterday towards the Weekend Warrior UP deal.
  • 4 Tylenol Precise Patches or Creams $5 each, used four $5 coupons (or 5/8 paper) and got back $10 Weekend Warrior UP deal ($10 UP WYB $25, Limit 2, Valid until 6/25) = $10 profit *Also have an extra $5 towards another UP
  • Calgon Bath Powder $2.39 ($2.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), got back $2 UP (monthly deal, valid until 5/31) = $0.39
  • 3 Nabisco snack crackers $0.63 each ($0.79 reg price, 20% Wellness discount) = $1.89 *Also count towards SCR #48 ($2 WYB 10 Nabisco cookies/crackers, Limit 2)
  • Used $3/$15 survey coupon and $1 RA coupon for non-prescription purchase (May Video Values, total was $0.35, overall profit $11.65
There's a $1 Calgon coupon here. It reportedly beeps on these boxes so use it at a coupon-friendly store. These boxes aren't tagged as being part of the $2 UP deal, but they work. Someone purchased a pack of bar soap and that didn't work for the deal.

Then at another store, I finished out the Banana Boat deal I started yesterday:
  • No Nonsense Liners $0.80 ($1 regular price, 20% Wellness discount), used $1 RA coupon (May Video Values) = $0.20 profit
  • Similac Ready to Feed Advanced or Sensitive $4.99, used $5 coupon (4/3 or 5/1 SS) = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • 3 Carefree Pantiliners (18 - 22 ct) $1 each, used three $1 coupons (5/8 SS) = FREE
  • Banana Boat Sunscreen $7.99 ($9.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), used $2 peelie coupon (found at WAG), got back $5 UP (WYB $15 worth, Limit 2) and will submit for $6 Bud Lite NBPR rebate (WYB $10 of beach items, #30097) = $0.98 in total for both bottles of Banana Boat
  • 4 Kit Kats $0.40 each
  • Used $3/$15 survey coupon and $4 UP, total was $0.85
I threw in the Kit Kats so I could use an UP to pay. They are supposed to be around $0.88 each and on a BOGO sale this week, but are ringing up all wonky.

Get on the Boat...

Banana Boat! (remember those commercials?!?)
Rite Aid - did these two transactions on my card:
  • Similac Ready to Feed Advanced or Sensitive $4.99, used $5 coupon (4/3 or 5/1 SS) = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • 4 Carefree Pantiliners (18 - 22 ct) $1 each, used four $1 coupons (5/8 SS) = FREE

  • Used $3/$15 survey coupon and $2 UP, total was $1.49
Then separately, I bought:
  • 4 Hyland's Leg Cramps (40 ct) $5.59 each ($6.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), got back $6 UP for each (Limit 4) = $1.64 profit
  • Similac Ready to Feed Advanced or Sensitive $4.99, used $5 coupon (4/3 or 5/1 SS) = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • Used $3/$15 survey coupon and $19 in UP's, total was $0.35, overall profit $4.65
At another store, I bought these goodies on DBF's card
  • 2 Finesse Clean & Simple Sham/Cond $4.29 each, BOGO sale, used two $1 coupons (5/8 SS) and will send away for TMF peelie rebate = $2 profit
  • 2 Similac Ready to Feed Advanced or Sensitive $4.99 each, used two $5 coupons (4/3 or 5/1 SS) = FREE/$0.02 profit
  • 4 Carefree Pantiliners (18 - 22 ct) $1 each, used three $1 coupons (5/8 SS) = FREE *Would have used four but I miscalculated my total and it was too low
  • Used $3/$15 survey coupon, total was $0.52
Then finally at store #4, I bought:

Lots of Rebates

Rite Aid
  • 2 Finesse Clean & Simple Sham/Cond $3.99 each, BOGO sale, used $1 coupon (5/8 SS) and will send away for TMF peelie rebate = $1 profit
  • Similac Ready to Feed Advanced or Sensitive $4.99, used $5 coupon (4/3 or 5/1 SS) = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • Carefree Pantliners (18 - 22 ct) $1, used $1 coupon (5/8 SS) = FREE
  • 2 Chapstick Lipmoist Tubes (0.35 oz) $2.39 ($2.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), will get back two $2 (SCR #13, Limit 2) = $0.78 *Valid all month
  • eos Organic Lip Balm $2.63 ($3.29 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), will get back $2 (SCR #45) = $0.63
  • Used $3/$15 survey coupon and $5.76 in UP's, total was $1.86, overall profit $2.37
Repeated this scenario on DBF's card minus the Carefree. Its not much of a moneymaker scenario, but it does turn UP's into cold hard cash and that's a-ok with me.

Walgreens - bought at two separate stores
  • 6 Clean & Clear Body Washes $5.99 each and BOGO sale, used BOGO coupon (3/27 SS) = FREE
  • Just paid tax - $1.26
It was reported on SD that the pink bottles of body wash aren't ringing up as BOGO. I was hoping to avoid that variety all together but one store only had two pink and one orange variety. I picked up one pink and one orange and they rang up correctly. Maybe its only a problem if you buy two of the pink?

Shop 'Til You Drop

Pathmark - they are double coupons up to $2 through Sunday! Next weekend, they're tripling coupons up to $1. The fun continues! I hit up two stores for these goodies, but for simplicity's sake, I'm going to list everything all at once. You can double up to 20 coupons per order and only four of the same coupon will double. The coupons only doubled up to the amount of the items for me today, no overage.
  • 16 Propel Waters $0.50 each, used 8 $1 off 2 coupons (2/13 SS) = FREE
  • Herr's Pretzels $1.49, used $1 coupon = FREE
  • 16 Fuze Bottles $0.80 each, used 8 $1 off 2 coupons (4/10 SS) = FREE
  • Sally Hansen Nail Clippers and Files $3.99 each, used three $2 coupons (4/10 RP) = FREE
  • Country Crock Butter $1.50, used $1 coupon (May All You magazine) = FREE
  • 4 Betty Crocker Cookie Frostings $2.04 each, used four $1 coupons (4/17 SS) = $0.16 or $0.04 each *This was a discontinued flavor. The regular price was around $4
  • Marie Callendar's Frozen Dinner $2.49, used $1 coupon (May All You magazine) = $0.49
  • 2 Pedigree Jumbones $3 each, used $1 peelies = $1 each
  • 2 American Greeting Cards $3.49 each, used $2 off 2 coupon = $2.98 or $1.49 each *Thought I was going to get a $2 store discount for buying 2 cards but I didn't. LRWC had reported this and even though I didn't see it in the circular, I figured I'd give it a go.
  • 4 Scott Naturals Toilet Paper $6.99 each, used four $1.50 coupons = $3.99 each
  • Total price was $25.76
I forgot to put the Country Crock, Marie Callendars and greeting cards in the pic. I was a bit frazzled after carrying all those waters upstairs (and Snapple and a case of soda and the toilet paper -- which is surprisingly heavy!)

A&P - they are doubling coupons up to $2 just like Pathmark. Its not listed in the circular but it is running.
  • 4 Snapple 6 packs $3.99, used four $1 coupons (4/3 SS) = $1.99 each
  • 4 Lindt Truffles - 75% Easter clearance, $1.20 each
  • Total was $13.93
CVS - I had a bunch of EB's that are expiring this week or next and there's not a whole lot to use them on. I've been waiting to do my CVS shopping until my coupon order came in, but its still not here and I couldn't wait any longer.

DBF's card:
  • 2 Colgate MaxClean, Smartfoam, MaxWhite or MaxFresh Toothpastes (6 oz) $2.77 each, got back $5.54 EB ($2.77 each, Limit 2) = FREE
  • Used $0.99 EB, $1 EB and $3 EB, total was $0.94
Old card:
  • 2 Colgate MaxClean, Smartfoam, MaxWhite or MaxFresh Toothpastes (6 oz) $2.77 each, got back $5.54 EB ($2.77 each, Limit 2) = FREE
  • 3 Tostitos $2.99 each and Lipton Tea $5.99, got back $5 EB (WYB $14.95+) and will submit for $5 Dos Equis NBPR rebate on $5.01 of tortilla chips (HUSA 8327) = $4.96
  • Used $0.74 EB, $1 EB, $7.99 EB and $10 EB, total was $1.54
New card:
  • 2 Colgate MaxClean, Smartfoam, MaxWhite or MaxFresh Toothpastes (6 oz) $2.77 each, got back $5.54 EB ($2.77 each, Limit 2) = FREE
  • 3 Tostitos $2.99 each and Lipton Tea $5.99, got back $5 EB (WYB $14.95+) and will submit for $5 Dos Equis NBPR rebate on $5.01 of tortilla chips (HUSA 8327) = $4.96
  • 3 cases Diet Pepsi $10
  • Used $0.74 EB, $1.99 EB, $2.50 EB, $3 EB, $5 EB, $7.27 EB (adjusted down from $7.99) and $10 EB, total was $1.26
Now I just have to use up a couple of EB's next week and then I'm good for a while. I hope CVS picks up soon. Its becoming a drag to shop there, don't you think?

Muy hermoso

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Today was one of those days I wish I could bottled up and save for rainy, cloudy days. The sun was shining, bright puffy white clouds were floating in the sky, the breeze blew the freshly greened trees around - it was just gorgeous. What could make a day like that even better? How 'bout some fresh flowers? For free! (you didn't expect anything else did you?)
I love how the angle of the sunlight completely changes the texture of the picture. They were all taken at the same time. I think the first shot is my favorite.

Stop & Shop - until 5/12, when you buy any $25 gift card, you can get a "designer bunch flowers" valued up to $4.99 for free. This store had tons of different varieties. I picked up a $25 S&S gift card at Customer Service, got my flowers for free and then did the rest of my shopping.
  • 3 Hallmark Cards $0.99 each, got back $5 catalina (WYB 3) = $2.03 profit
  • Total was $3.18
Then I used that $5 catalina towards more -
  • 6 Hallmark Cards $0.99 each, got back two $5 catalinas ($5 WYB 3) = $4.06 profit
  • Used $5 cat, total was $1.36
Then I used one of the $5 catalinas towards -
  • 10 Breyers Yo Crunch Yogurts $6 or $0.60 each
  • Used $5 cat, total was $1
I'm all for varied yogurt flavors but strawberry was all the store had, other than the candy varieties (blech). I didn't even see a spot for other varieties - weird. Someone on SD bought 15 cards in one transaction and got all five $5 catalinas. When redeeming them, you'll only be able to use one $5 cat at a time, so I am going to try to use all but one as I go. Its an easy roll to use one $5 cat to buy 6 cards ($5.94 subtotal). This Hallmark deal is valid until 5/12, as is the flower deal.
