Clearance Central!

It seems like all the stores by me have had the best clearance deals lately! The Walgreens in my area are all getting revamped, so there have been tons of goodies marked down.
Rite Aid - while I was buying these items, I also picked up rainchecks for The Doctor's Nightguard that's on sale this week. The raincheck price will be $4.99, so free after the $5 coupon. During the month of April, there's a $3 SCR on these (Limit 2!) so that's a $6 profit per account. Be sure to get a raincheck if you can.
  • 4 Gillette ProGlide Razors $8.79 ($10.99 reg price, 20% discount), used four $4 coupons (2/27 P&G), $3 off $15 purchase coupon (from survey received on receipt of previous purchase) and got back $10 UP (WYB $30, Limit 1) = $6.16 or $1.54 each
  • 2 Veet Caring Touch Cremes $5.19 each ($6.49 reg price, 20% discount), used two $3 coupons and two $3 circular coupons and got back two $1 UP's = $3.62 profit
  • Revlon Emery Boards $1.95 ($2.45 reg price, 20% discount), used $2 coupon and will get back $1 (SCR #20) = $1.05 profit *This is the regular price, so you have until 3/29 to pick up this deal
  • Used $3 off $15 coupon, $14 in UP's, total was $3.62
At another store, I bought one more Veet, Revlon tweezers for $1.96 ($2.45 reg price) and Blink for $7.99 (free after SCR). I'll submit for those rebates on DBF's account.

Walgreens - nothing fancy here, just bought more Almay for $4.19, used the $2 coupon and got back $5 RR. Also found some great clearance stuff:
  • 2 Always double pack liners clearanced to $2.29, used two $1 coupons (P&G rebate booklet) = $1.29 each
  • 10 No Nonsense knee highs clearanced to $0.20 each
  • Dark Fudge chocolate/popcorn thingies $0.66
  • Used $5 RR, total was $0.29
Target
  • Iams Naturals Dog Food $14.69, used $1 coupon (2/27 P&G) = $13.69
  • Sewing Machine clearanced to $6.44 (down from $29.99)
  • Total was $21.61
My sister feeds Riley Iams so I said I'd pick her up some food and send away for this rebate to get a coupon for a free bag. I was wandering around the store, checking out endcaps for clearance items and looking down aisles for those lovely red tags when I spotted this sewing machine. $6! It wouldn't be great for heavy use, but for the occasional times that I need one, this will work great for me and I won't have to truck my stuff over to my parents' to use my mom's machine. The box looked a little beat up, so I'm going to open it up and make sure it works. The store said I have 90 days to return it if there's a problem, even though its on clearance. Some places (ie. CVS) don't let you return clearance items, so this was great news.

Found anything interesting on clearance in your neck of the woods?

Free Lysol Wipes

ShopRite - I used up a ton of catalinas today on V8 Splash juice ($1.99), large plastic tote boxes ($5.99) and some random goodies. But I wanted to share this S&B deal with you -
  • 4 Shake 'N Bakes $1.99 each, used four $0.75 coupons and got back $3 catalina (WYB 4+, Valid until 4/17) = $1.04 profit
I'm pretty sure that $1.99 is the regular price, so you've got plenty of time to get in on this deal.

Rite Aid - I've been looking for clearanced The Doctors Nightguards but I haven't had any luck. I've bought everything at RA that I'm interested in for the week, so I have to decide if its worth hunting for clearance items.

At the first store, I bought:
  • 2 Lysol Wipes (28-35 ct) $1.99 each, used two $1 coupons (not sure where I got these, definitely from some kind of coupon booklet), got back two $1 UP's and will get back $1 (SCR #43) = $1.02 profit
  • Total was $2.26
Then at store #2, I got:
  • 2 Veet Caring Touch Cream Kits $4.79 each ($5.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), used two $3 coupons, two $3 in-circular coupons (adjusted down to $1.79 each) and got back two $1 UP's = $2 profit
  • 4 Lysol Wipes (28-35 ct) $1.99 each, used two $1 off 2 coupons (3/6 SS), got back four $1 UP's and will get back $1 (SCR #43) = $0.96
  • Used two $1 UP's, total was $5.19
The Lysol Wipes are free after the $1 off 2 coupon, UP and SCR. Since I got a $1 profit on the first set, I decided to pick up two extra bottles at the second store, so all six bottles were free. I'm a lazy cleaner and I love wipes like these. There are cheaper Veet items (wax strips for $4.79) but this store was out of them. I'm not crazy about waxing anyway, so these kits were fine with me.

That was Tricky!

Let's start off with the simpler stuff:

CVS - DBF's card
  • Allegra Allergy (5 ct) $6.99, used $2 coupon (or here or 3/6 SS) and got back $6.99 EB (Limit 1) = $2 profit
  • Crystal Lite individual packet $0.50
  • Used $5 EB, total was $0.49
Walgreens
  • Tena Serenity Pads $9.99, used $2.50 coupon and got back $10 RR = $2.50 profit
  • 2 M&M's $0.49 each
  • Used $2 RR and $5 RR, total was $1.54
I picked up a couple more Almay makeup removers for $4.19 at this and other stores, plus two knee high packs clearanced to $0.20 each.

I'd read that some folks are getting the $10 RR off clearanced Tena, so when I saw this pack, I thought I'd give it a try. No RR printed though, but I'm only out $1.24. The store had a bunch at this price, so if it had worked, it definitely would have been worth the gamble.
  • Always Dri-Liners Plus (30 ct) $2.99, used $1 coupon (P&G rebate booklet) and got back $2 RR = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • Tena Serenity Pads clearanced to $3.74, used $2.50 coupon = $1.24
  • Used $2 RR, total was $1.72
Now for the weird transactions:
  • Neuragen PN Pain Relief $19.99, used $10 coupon (Dec. Diabetes & You magazine, found at WAG) and will get back $19.99 via mail in rebate (form prints at checkout) = $10 profit *Got a rebate receipt for this to ensure I'll get back the full amount
  • Almay Makeup Remover Towelettes $4.19, used $1 coupon (2/13 SS) and $2 WAG coupon (Spring Beauty Book) and got back $5 RR = $3.81 profit
  • Always Dri-Liners Plus (30 ct) $2.99, used $1 coupon (P&G rebate booklet) and got back $2 RR = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • Method Hand Soap $2.99, got back $2 RR = $0.99
  • 9 Walgreens Light Bulb 12 packs - clearanced from $3 to $0.75 each ($0.06 per bulb)
  • Used two $10 RR's, total was $3.89
A bunch of things to point out here. First, I finally found some Always! Second, I've read online that some people have found the green bottles of the Method soap clearanced, no such luck for me. Third, when I asked for the rebate receipt, the cashier looked at me like I had three eyes. She conferred with the Manager and a bunch of other people who all had no idea what I was talking about. A hot shot supervisor came over, told me he'd worked there three years and had never seen one. Of course I didn't have the instructions with me, but he played around pressing random keys on the board and by chance found the right one. Fourth, after I paid, I realized my $10 Neuragen coupon only scanned for $1.75. Weird! They did a post void and re-rang everything. When I gave them the Neuragen coupon first, it worked just fine. I have no idea what happened there, might have just been a fluke. Fifth, I bought all the lightbulbs to eventually sell once they stop making these in favor of CFL's and LED's. I have a bunch already, and I'm storing them in a huge rubbermaid container. I'm sure I'll have them for years before their value perks up.

Then for complication #2. This was at the last store I stopped into, the same one that had to manually adjust the $2 Almay coupon yesterday. It seems that some stores haven't activated these coupons, which is why they beep in some stores and not others.
  • 2 M&M's $0.49 each
  • Used $10 RR, total was $2.38
When I asked for a rebate receipt, I got the standard response - "the form will print after you pay." Sigh. Just once, I'd love for a cashier to actually listen to what I'm saying! When the $2 coupon beeped, the cashier and another employee who was in the area took a look and determined it wasn't valid because I was buying towelettes. I showed them the picture of the towelettes on the $1 Almay coupon, proving that Almay considers them a cosmetic. I also mentioned that I'd used the coupon yesterday on mascara, it beeped as well and they manually adjusted the price down. The cashier refused to do anything. I have no problem with her wanting the Manager to approve it, but the way she said it (while also throwing her hands up in the air) was not especially nice. Trying to call my bluff, the other employee went over and got an Almay eye shadow, rang that up, tried to use the coupon and whadda-ya-know, it beeped! (inner chuckle) The Manager came over at this point and adjusted the item down.

In addition to all this, both employees were scrutinizing the Neuragen. They weren't being nasty, I really think they were both interested in the product. But combined with all the other stuff, I felt like I was getting the third degree! "Where'd you find this in the store? Where'd you get that $10 coupon? Does this work well?" Sheesh, its free this week, why don't you pick up a bottle for yourself?

All in all, a profitable day, despite the drama. Definitely better than yesterday!

Sometimes You're the Windshield...

...and sometimes you're the bug. Today I was definitely the bug. I woke up with a bad headache, but I was determined to get my shopping done so I could relax the rest of the day.
Stop one was Rite Aid to pick up some Gillette razors for DBF. You get a $10 UP when you spend $30 this week and since DBF is all but out, this is a pretty great deal. The first store we checked out only had the power razors, which only have one cartridge. I always try and get the manual razors since those have two. We left without buying anything and headed to another store. This one had more razors, but the prices were much higher. The individual razors were around $13.49. Third time's the charm - we hit up a third store that had one manual razor and three power ones. I wasn't thrilled with the selection, but was getting tired of running around. The power razors were marked as $12.99 each and the manual was $10.99. If I bought two power and one manual, my total would be $29 something after my 20% discount, so I picked up a fourth power razor.

But...they all rang up as $12.99 regular price, so $10.39 after 20%. Grr! I had a feeling the prices were off, but its hard to tell from looking at the display screen if you're seeing a sale price or your discounted price. I only needed to buy three! Here's how that transaction went:

RA
  • 4 Gillette ProGlide Razors $10.39 each ($12.99 reg price, 20% discount), used four $4 coupons (2/27 P&G) and got back $10 UP (WYB $30)
  • Used $1 Video Values coupon and $3/$15 survey coupon (got from receipt on previous purchase) and $7 UP's, total was $17.19
This works out to $14.19 or $3.54 a razor. Not a very hot deal at all! But if I'd just bought three razors, it would have worked out to $6.17 or $2.05 a razor. I can live with that. I'll pick up another three on my other card later this week.

Walgreens - wanted to also pick up some Always liners, but I couldn't find the right size box. I had the cashier scan the 34 count of the liners, but it didn't ring up on sale.
  • Almay Mascara $5.59, used $2 coupon (3/6 SS) and $2 WAG coupon (Spring Beauty Book) and got back $5 RR = $3.41 profit
  • Total was $1.98 *This mascara was marked as being on sale for $4.19. I realized this after I'd paid and the manager refunded me $1.50 cash for the difference.
Then I used my $5 RR on:
  • Tena Serenity Pads $9.99, used $2.50 coupon and got back $10 RR = $2.50 profit
  • Snicker PB candy bar $0.49
  • Used $5 RR, total was $3.02
At another WAG, I did basically the same thing:
  • Almay Eye Shadow Trio $5.59, used $2 WAG coupon (Spring Beauty Book) and got back $5 RR = $1.41 profit *Only got one $2 manu coupon in my inserts, bummer
  • Total was $1.98 *The WAG coupon beeped on this item. The cashier adjusted the price of the eyeshadow down to $3.59. It didn't beep when I bought the mascara at the first store.
Then -
  • Tena Serenity Pads $9.99, used $2.50 coupon and got back $10 RR = $2.50 profit
  • Snicker PB candy bar $0.49
  • Used $5 RR, total was $3.02
My plan was to use the $10 RR from Tena towards the Neuragen that's free after rebate, but I left that RR in the car. I'll get some tomorrow.

CVS
  • Allegra Allergy (5 ct) $6.99, used $2 coupon (or here or 3/6 SS) and got back $6.99 EB (Limit 1) = $2 profit
  • Used $1 EB and $3.29 EB, total was $0.70

I Put that Shit on Everything!

DUH! The Freeman rebate is good until 12/31/10, not 2011. It says the rebate claim must be submitted by 12/11.

My skin has been looking and feeling very "blah" lately so as I headed in to SR to use up some catalinas, I decided to look for a face mask. As I was poring over my options, I spotted a Try Me Free sticker on this bottle of Freeman Superfruits face scrub. It wasn't a mask, but how could I say no to free? The rebate label says its good on any Superfruits item, so I may see if I can find a mask tomorrow. Its valid until 12/31/11. I also spotted new Try Me Free rebates on Snapple 6 packs at Rite Aid. Even when I'm not looking for them, rebates just keep popping out at me!
  • Freeman Superfruits Facial Scrub $3.49, will submit for Try Me Free rebate = FREE
  • 4 Franks Red Hot Sauce $1.99 each, used four free coupons (3/13 SS) = FREE

Dog Tired

In addition to working a full day (and it was a very crazy day at that) and my regular hour long commute, I hit up ShopRite, CVS and seven Rite Aid's today. And because my brain is rarely fully functioning when I leave for work, I wore less than comfortable shoes, which over the course of the day, turned into very uncomfortable shoes.

At CVS I picked up more Purex 3-in-1 sheets and I'm ashamed to admit, another set of adorable storage totes for 50% off ($2.49). I left ShopRite with more free Purex detergent, moneymaking Reach toothbrushes and cheap Scotch Brite sponges. I posted about all these deals yesterday if you want the details. I also saw a huge display of Crystal Lite at SR (upcoming sale maybe?) and tons of $1 off 2 tearpad coupons.

Here's what I got at Rite Aid. Forgive me for not spelling out each transaction, I'm just too exhausted. Anyway, now that there aren't $5/$25 coupons, putting scenarios together isn't as valuable as it used to be.
  • 4 Motrin IB PM's (40 ct) $3 each, used two $6 off 2 coupons (1/9 SS) and got back four $1 UP's = $4 profit *There's a $1 Video Values coupon for this, but I bought the Motrin by itself and since its free with the $6 coupons, I didn't bother using it. Hopefully I can find some more.
  • Purex Fabric Softening Crystals (28 oz) $3.99 each, used $2 coupon (3/13 paper), $1 RA coupon (March Video Values) and got back $1 UP = FREE/$0.01 profit
Obviously I couldn't use a VV coupon on each of these, so the ones without the RA coupon cost me $0.99. I also used the $1 off nonprescription VV coupons (March) to defray the cost.
  • 3 Dixie Ultra Plates $1.97 each, used $5 off 3 RA coupon (March Video Values) = $0.91 or $0.30 each
Now I'm off to get some grub and get my Glee on!

Loads of Purex

ShopRite - some great deals this week!
  • 4 Reach Crystal Clean Toothbrushes $0.99 each, used four $0.50 coupons (1/9 SS) and got back $4 catalina (monthly deal, valid until 3/29) = $4 profit
  • 4 Purex Laundry Detergents $1.99 each, used four $1 coupons (2/20 or 3/13 RP) and got back two $2 catalinas ($2 WYB 2 - reported to work on as many as 8 bottles at a time) = FREE
  • 4 Scotch Brite Sponges $1.74 each, used four $0.50 tearpad coupons = $2.96 or $0.74 each
  • 2 Triscuits $2.99 - bought these so I could use a $5 Munch Mania catalina
  • Grands biscuits $1.99
  • Pepperoni $3.69
  • Used four $3 catalinas and $5 Munch Mania catalina, total was $2.53 after $0.10 bag discount
I should have grabbed something by the registers to bring my total up over $3 so I could use a $3 catalina from the vitamins last week, but there was a huge line forming in self-checkout so I just used cash. The Reach catalina is for $1 cat WYB 2, $2 cat WYB 3 or $4 cat WYB 4+. Its good on any Reach toothbrushes but the Crystal Clean are the cheapest. I found them with the travel size items and others have reported finding them mixed in with the regular toothbrushes.
CVS - DBF's card
  • Tena Ultra Thins Heavy Protection Pads (32-42 ct) $9.99, used $2.50 coupon and got back $9.99 EB (Limit 1) = $2.50 profit
  • 5 Purex 3-in-1 Sheets $3.99 each, used five $3 coupons (2/20 RP) = $4.98 or $0.99 each
  • Used $2 EB, $3 EB and $7 EB, total was $1.84, got back $1 EB (green bag tag)
At another store, I found these totes on clearance. I am developing a serious "storage solutions" addiction! This was on my new card -
  • Tena Ultra Thins Heavy Protection Pads (32-42 ct) $9.99, used $2.50 coupon and got back $9.99 EB (Limit 1) = $2.50 profit
  • 2 Packs of Storage Totes $2.49 (50% clearance)
  • Straws $0.49 (50% clearance)
  • Used $5.99 EB and $7 EB, total was $0.35, got back $1 EB (green bag tag)
Then on my old card, I just bought the Tena, used a $7 EB and paid with a gift card I got from My Points.

From the scanner I got a $5 EB for buying beauty items on two of my cards. I have no idea what triggered this, maybe the Physician's Formula I've bought over the last couple weeks? I also got a $6 coupon for Physician's Formula on my new card. These coupons just keep coming!

Walgreens
  • 8 Scotch Bubble Mailers three for $1 with in-circular coupon
  • Total was $2.86

Back to ShopRite

Tomorrow I'll start my drugstore shopping, but I just didn't have the urge today. Its been so nice to just spend my SR money as I please. I haven't really been worrying about sale prices or coupons, just wandering around the store and picking up items I need/want.

ShopRite
  • Static Guard $3.99
  • Rachael Ray Just 6 Dog Treats (Shadow loves these) $3.49
  • Golden Delicious Apples $2.35 ($0.79/lb) - might go back for more of these, what a great price
  • Can't Believe Its Not Butter $3.19
  • Axelrod Cottage Cheese $1.64
  • 2 SR Cream Cheeses $1.25 each
  • Milk $2.19
  • Corn Muffin Tops $2.29
  • 2 Bottles of Rain X washer fluid $2.99
  • M&M's $0.69
  • Used $27 in catalinas from Dollar Days promos and $3 catalina from vitamins last week, total was $0.08
The pre-M&M total was $2.34 so I picked up the candy to use another catalina and therefore use less cash. I've been out of Static Guard for ages and I've kept my eyes peeled for a deal on this somewhere. I haven't seen any, so I decided to pay full price and get it here. At least I used rewards!

Chocolate Makes Everything Worth It

As I drove home from work tonight, plodding along in the traffic that always appears when it rains (why is that anyway?), I debated with myself whether or not I felt like hitting up ShopRite. It was a dreary day, I was tired and had a headache and would've loved nothing more than to put on sweats and veg in front of the tv. "Just go home, you deserve it" said the bad influence. But the more disciplined side of me chastised - if you go home, you'll just have to go tomorrow or worse, Saturday afternoon when the store is mobbed. (epic sigh) FINE! I'll go, but I'm not gonna like it!

I trudged through the rain to the store and walked to the medicine aisle for the Excedrin. This store has been out of the cheap Sundown all week, but out of habit, I checked again. They had restocked! I cracked a huge smile and did a happy dance as I liberated them from the shelf. Instantly, the trip was worth it! Do you all get a little adrenaline rush too when you find something you've been hunting for? Love that feeling!

First transaction -
  • 2 Sundown Vitamins (Folic Acid 800 mg) $2.19 each, used $3 off 2 coupon and got back $3 catalina (WYB 2) = $1.62 profit
  • 2 SR shredded cheeses $1.49 each
  • Used $3 cat, total was $1.36
Then I bought
  • 4 Hershey's/Reese's Drops Bags $2.50 each, used two $2 off 2 coupons (1/30 SS), 8 Hershey's/Reese's King Size candy bars $1 each, used four BOGO coupons (1/30 SS) and Reese's single candy bar $0.66, got back four $5 catalinas (WYB $20 of Kraft/Coke/Planters/Nabisco/Reese's Items) = $9.34 profit
  • 4 Excedrin PM's $1.74 each, used four $2.50 tearpad coupons (no beeps!) = $3.04 profit
  • 2 Sundown Vitamins (Folic Acid 800 mg) $2.19 each, used $3 off 2 coupon and got back $3 catalina (WYB 2) = $1.62 profit
  • 3 SR shredded cheeses $1.49 each
  • Laughing Cow cheese $2.49
  • Used six $3 catalinas, total was $2.26
I haven't been posting about it because its kinda boring to read about deals you can't replicate, but I've used up all my catalinas for the week. I bought some bagels, ham, fruit, cheese, more Sundown and other random goodies.

Help Me Out!

RiteAid - my card
  • Keri Lotion (15 oz) $6.99 - $6.79 with 20% discount, used $3 coupon (FYI this beeped) and will get back $6 (SCR #34) = $2.21 profit
  • Comtrex (24 ct.) $4.99 - $4.79 with 20% discount, used $1.50 coupon (2/13 SS) and got back $4 (SCR #26) = $0.69 profit
  • Snickers Single Candy Bar (1.76-2.07 oz) $0.88 - $0.70 with 20% discount, got back $0.88 UP (Limit 1) = $0.18 profit
  • 2 Osteo Bi-Flex Caplets $19.99, BOGO sale, used two $7 coupons (*Expire 3/8, 1/23 RP), $3 RA coupon (Feb. Video Values) and got back $2 UP ($2 WYB 2) = $0.99 for two
  • Tavist Allergy Tablet (16 ct) $6.99, will get back $6 (SCR #33) = $0.99
  • Desenex Antifungal Shake Powder (3 oz) $6.99 - $6.63 with 20% discount, will get back $6 (SCR #36) = $0.63
  • Used $24 in UP's, total was $0.92
Then at another store, we got this stuff on DBF's card. The regular prices are a bit higher, so my 20% discount didn't help on the Keri.
  • Keri Lotion (15 oz) $6.99, used $3 coupon (FYI this beeped) and will get back $6 (SCR #34) = $2.01 profit
  • 8 Osteo Bi-Flex Caplets $20.99 each, BOGO sale, used eight $7 coupons (*Expire 3/8, 1/23 RP), $3 RA coupon (Feb. Video Values) and got back four $2 UP's ($2 WYB 2) = $16.96 or $2.12 each
  • Tavist Allergy Tablet (16 ct) $6.99, will get back $6 (SCR #33) = $0.99
  • Used $20 in UP's, total was $11.93
Between these two transactions, I used up all my UP's. I really didn't need the Tavist on the second transaction but it was already in the cart when I spotted the motherlode of Osteo's and I didn't think to put it back. DBF takes glucosamine every day, so this was a great stock-up price for us.

ShopRite
  • 4 SR reusable bags, used four freebie catalinas (earned over the past two weeks) = FREE
  • Reese peanut butter chips $2.29
  • Eggs $1.99
  • Milk $2.19
  • Kaiser rolls $1.99
  • 2 Cracker Barrel chunk cheeses $2.49 each, will submit for $4 Guiness NBPR rebate on $4.01 meat/cheese/bread = $0.98
  • Used four $3 catalinas, total was $1.88
DBF picked up four Knorr's goulash mixes, using another three $3 catalinas.

Starting Week Total: 27 catalinas or $81. 7 cats or $21 used = $60 left to spend.

A new Wawa opened recently in my area so we picked up lunch there. Their sandwiches are amazing! They also have milkshake mixes - heaven in a cup. We will definitely be back!

Now I have a question for all of you! We're down to four or five Gillette razors, which is not good news for my hunny since he shaves his head everyday. Are there any freebie/cheap deals on Gillette coming up soon? I'd love to find a deal at Target or Walmart, so I can buy a whole bunch at once and be done with it. Anybody got any ideas?

Free Dryer Sheets at RA

RiteAid
  • 8 RA Brand Fabric Softener Sheets (80 ct or 25% more 100 ct) $0.99 each, got back eight $1 UP's = FREE
  • English Muffins $2.49
  • Used $1 UP, $2 UP and $5 UP, total was $2.97
The sheets are advertised as being $1.99 each but for some reason, some are ringing up as $0.99. I've heard the 40 ct. boxes are not $0.99, but it may be worth checking out in the store. This sale ends today. Wish I'd seen it earlier in the week!

Walmart
  • 5 Gain Fabric Softener Sheets $3.52 each, used five $3 coupons (2/13 RP) = $2.60 or $0.52 each
I don't normally like to venture in to Walmart, but I'd heard the Gain items were pretty close to $3. The liquid fabric softener was much more expensive, so I passed on that. I'm going to check out Dollar General to use up the rest of my coupons.

Hmm

I think I like my waver! It took a while to get through my whole mane. Grab one section of hair, crimp, move down the section, crimp again, move again, crimp again...you get the idea. But I think it came out pretty nicely! It definitely added a lot of volume, which I love.
By the way, it is pretty damn hard to get a picture of your own hair! Give it a try sometime. I have twenty or thirty awful shots on my camera, mostly of the wall or my shoulders or my shoulders in front of the wall.

Do the Wave

Walgreens
  • Revlon 3-Barrel Waver $19.99
  • Paid with $10 RR and rest on gift card
I was excited to show you all a pic of my beautifully waved hair. After some struggling, I ripped the waver out of that stronger-than-Superman industrial plastic, heated it up and got busy wavin'. But it didn't turn out quite as wavy as I'd hoped. It kinda looked like I'd had my hair in a ponytail for a while and got stuck with those marks from the elastic. I straightened my hair this morning so the straightening was fighting the wave. I might give it a shot tomorrow morning on freshly washed hair if I have the time.

CVS
  • Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips $10.99, used $3 peelie coupon and $7 CRT coupon, got back $7 EB (WYB $10, Limit 1) = $6.01 profit
  • Crest Pro-Health Toothpaste (4.2 oz) $3.29, used $0.75 coupon (2/27 P&G) and got back $3.29 EB (Limit 2) = $0.75 profit
  • Revitalens Multi-Purpose Solution (4 oz) $5.99, got back $5.99 EB (Limit 1) = FREE
  • Used $7 EB, total was $3.94
DBF's card
  • Physician's Formula Mascara $10.79, used $3 peelie coupon and $3 CRT coupon, got back $7 EB (WYB $10, Limit 1) = $2.21 profit
  • Oral-B Crossaction Power Toothbrush (1 ct) $6, used $3 coupon (2/27 P&G) and got back $3 EB (Limit 2) = FREE
  • Used $7 EB, total was $1.18
CVS has been very lackluster lately. I have only a handful of EB's across all three of my cards. It was nice to make a profit on the PF today, but I had to work up the motivation to stop in. The $10 RR I used at Walgreens was the only RR I had and I'm relieved to have used it up. I'm looking forward to converting my UP's to rebate money at RiteAid next week too. I need a breather from the drugstores for a little while. Plus I'm going to be busy figuring out ways to spend all my ShopRite catalinas.
