Duracell Day

Rite Aid
  • Duracell myGrid Power Sleeve $23.99 (reg. $29.99, 20% Wellness discount), will get back $25 (SCR #37) = $1.01 profit
  • 2 Tugaboos diapers $0.79 each (reg $0.99, 20% Wellness discount) used two $1 coupons (found inside package) = $0.42 profit
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon, total was $19.90, overall profit $5.10
Bought a second one for DBF's rebates. I'm only up to 10% discount on this card, so it cost me $26.99 for the myGrid. After the $5/$25 coupon and overage from the Tugaboos, I made a $4.69 profit on that one. I picked up a couple of these last month and they sold pretty well on ebay, so I was really happy to see this deal pop up again. $29.99 is the regular price, so this deal is good all month.

Staples
  • 2 Duracell Batteries (20 pack, AAA or AA) $12.99 each, used two $1.50 coupons (11/14 RP) and will get back $25.98 in Staples Rewards (Limit 2) = $3 profit
  • Total was $24.80 with tax

Walgreens - now I've bought enough goodies to do a third $20 Olay/Secret/HE rebate

My sisters and I took our annual nighttime visit to Target. There's no way any of us are stepping foot into Target during the day, but its not bad in the evening and most of the sales are still going. I picked up Xmen Wolverine and Its Complicated for $5.99 a piece.

Round Two

Rite Aid - today is the first day for the Gift of Savings and I'm off to a great start. I could have waited to do my shopping from yesterday until today, but I was afraid the stores would be out of stock of the freebies. Judging by the stock I saw in the stores, I would have been fine. Oh well
  • 2 Tugaboos $0.79 each ($0.99 reg price), used two $1 coupons (from inside package) = $0.42 profit
  • Sonicare Essence 5300 Toothbrush $44.99, used $10 coupon (11/21 or 8/1 SS), will submit for $10 rebate (11/21 SS or electronic form - have to request before purchasing!) and will get back $20 (SCR #54) = FREE/$0.01 profit (counting in the $5/$25 coupon)
  • 4 Campbell's Chunky Soups $1.50 each, used two $1 off 2 coupons and got back two $1 UPs (WYB 2) = $2 or $0.50 each
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon, four $1 UP's and four $2 UP's, total was $20.37
I also picked up another two Tugaboos and four more soups at a separate store. Total towards Gift of Savings - $60.15 (qualified for $10 already). Once I get up to $100+, I'll get back $20.

Repeated this transaction on DBF's card and picked up another fleece blanket for my sister ($1.99, $1 UP). Total towards GOS on DBF's account - $54.76

Staples
  • 2 Duracell Batteries (20 pack, AAA or AA) $12.99 each, used two $1.50 coupons (11/14 RP) and will get back $25.98 in Staples Rewards (Limit 2) = $3 profit
  • Friday 11/26 6 am to noon only: Staples CD-R Media (50 pack) $8.99, will get back $7 Easy Rebate = $1.99
  • Total was $34.42
Repeated on DBF's account with just the batteries.

Walgreens - was so happy to finish out my WAG shopping until I got home and started thinking about the math. I've spent $150+ on items for the Olay/Secret/HE rebate, but would the receipts split evenly so I'd have enough for each rebate? NOPE. I have to go out for one more trip and then I'll really be done. I think. :) I want to pick up some more bubble mailers (my sister is keeping the ones we got today) so I might do a smidge more shopping tomorrow.
  • Secret Scent Expressions Body Splash (3 oz) $3.49 and Olay Body Wash (10 oz) $3.49, used $5 off any Olay WYB Secret coupon (10/31 P&G, no beeps - went through for full value each time) and got back $3.50 RR (Secret) and $2.50 RR (Olay) = $4.02 profit
  • Herbal Essences Hair Care (5.7 - 12 oz) $2.49, used $2 Clairol coupon (10/31 P&G) and got back $1.50 RR = $1.01 profit
  • 2 Scotch bubble mailers or Geisha mushrooms $0.39 each with in-circular coupon
  • Used $3 RR, total was $0.97 ($0.91 when I bought the mushrooms), overall profit for transaction = $4.37
Did this transaction 10 times. My sister was with me today, so it wasn't that bad. I'd buy a set and then she'd buy one right after me. Surprisingly, the stores were really mellow today. I figured I'd be in for a long day, but it was less crowded than yesterday.

I also wanted to pick up some shaving cream for DBF, so I bought:
  • Crest 3D White Vivid Toothpaste (4 oz) $2.99, used $1 coupon (10/31 P&G) and got back $3 RR = $1.01 profit
  • Nivea for Men Shave Gel (7 oz) $2.99, got back $3 RR = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • Geisha mushrooms $0.39 with in-circular coupon
  • Used $1.50 RR and $3.50 RR, total was $0.79

Shop 'til you...get a hole in your sock?

Yup, its true, I shopped so much today that my socks just couldn't take it! I left the house around 7:30, stopped home around 10:30 to drop off goodies and take a pit stop and then shopped, shopped, shopped until around 1. I'm exhausted!
Here are all the goodies I picked up today. Let's break it down by store:
CVS - did the same transactions (for the most part) on my three cards. First:
  • Renpure Organics Sham/Cond (13.5 oz) or Amazing Miracle Reconstructor (8 oz) $4.99, got back $4.99 EB (Limit 2) and will submit for Try Me Free rebate (hangtags on bottles, no limit to this rebate!) = $4.99 profit
  • 2 Colgate Sensitive Toothpastes (6 oz) $3.99 each, used two $1 coupons (or 11/14 SS) and got back $7.98 EB ($3.99 EB each, Limit 2) = $2 profit
  • Gillette Odor Shield Deodorant (2.6 oz) $4, used $2 Gillette coupon (10/31 P&G) and got back $4 EB (Limit 2) = $2 profit
  • 2 Listerine Pocketpacks (3 pack, 72 strips total) $2.99 each, used two $0.50 coupons (3/7, 5/16 or 10/10 RP or 8/1 SS) and got back $5.98 EB ($2.99 EB each, Limit 2) = $1 profit
  • Excedrin Migraine, PM or Extra Strength (8 ct) $0.99, got back $0.99 EB (Limit 1) = FREE
  • Phillips In-Ear Headphones or Universal Remote Control $6.99, got back $6.99 EB (Limit 1) = FREE
  • Used three $5 EB's and $10 EB, total was $3.03
Found the savings booklet at the last store, so I got back an additional $4 EB because I'd spent $20. (see pic at bottom of post)

Then I bought:
  • Renpure Organics Sham/Cond (13.5 oz) or Amazing Miracle Reconstructor (8 oz) $4.99, got back $4.99 EB (Limit 2) and will submit for Try Me Free rebate (hangtags on bottles, no limit to this rebate!) = $4.99 profit
  • Eucerin Daily Skin Balance Body Lotion (8.4 oz) $6.99, got back $6.99 EB (Limit 1) = FREE
  • 5 Reese's Singles (1.4 - 2 oz) $0.79 each, got back $3.95 EB ($0.79 each, Limit 5) = FREE
  • Used $4 EB, $4.99 EB and $5.98 EB, total was $2.08
One store was out of Eucerin, so I just bought the Renpure and candy there. And then finally, I bought:
  • 2 Herbal Essences Hydralicious Sham/Cond (10.1 oz) $3.99 each, used two $2 Clairol coupons (10/31 P&G) and got back $7.98 EB ($3.99 each, Limit 2) = $4 profit
  • 5 Mars King Size Candy Bars (1.94 - 3.63 oz) $1.59 each, used $0.30 Twix CRT and got back $7.95 EB ($1.59 each, Limit 5) = $0.30 profit
  • Used $0.99 EB and $7.98 EB, total was $3.55
I now have $23.94 towards the $20 Olay rebate for the Herbal Essences I purchased.

Walgreens - same thing here, had a couple of scenarios that I repeated several times. First:
  • Secret Scent Expressions Body Splash (3 oz) $3.49 and Olay Body Wash (10 oz) $3.49, used $5 off any Olay WYB Secret coupon (10/31 P&G, no beeps - went through for full value each time) and got back $3.50 RR (Secret) and $2.50 RR (Olay) = $4.02 profit
  • Herbal Essences Hair Care (5.7 - 12 oz) $2.49, used $2 Clairol coupon (10/31 P&G) and got back $1.50 RR = $1.01 profit
  • Used $2.25 RR (from Gum flossers, just paid cash the first time I did this), total was $0.88, overall profit for transaction = $4.37
Then I bought:
  • Bic Soleil Bella or Flex 4 Disposable Razors $2.99, used $2 coupon (or Nov. All You magazine, pg. 8) and got back $2 RR = $1.01 profit
  • Colgate Total Toothpaste (4 oz) $2.99, used $1 coupon (11/14 SS or Diabetes & You magazine found near Pharmacy) and got back $3 RR = $1.01 profit
  • Crest 3D White Vivid Toothpaste (4 oz) $2.99, used $1 coupon (10/31 P&G) and got back $3 RR = $1.01 profit
  • Gum Eez-Thru Flossers (90 pack) $2.25, used $0.75 coupon and got back $2.25 RR = $0.75 profit
  • 2 Dr. Pepper, Sunkist, 7UP, Canada Dry, A&W or Hawaiian Punch 2 liter sodas $0.99 each, used $1 off 2 peelie coupon and got back $0.99 RR = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • 2 Scotch bubble mailers $0.39 each with in-circular coupon
  • Used $1.50 RR, $2.50 RR and $3.50 RR, total was $1.73
One store didn't have any diet soda, so I substituted that with Nivea Shave Gel ($2.99, $3 RR). I did these two transactions at four stores, so that's an additional $37.88 towards the $20 Olay rebate. I now have enough to submit for one $20 rebate. I'm hoping to do some more Walgreens shopping tomorrow and Saturday and hopefully I'll be able to find enough for a second rebate.
Finally, Rite Aid. Just two sets of transactions for here. First:
  • 3 Cottonelle Moist Wipes (42 ct.) $1.88 each, used FREE coupon (homemailer), two $1 wipes coupon, $1 RA coupon for 2 wipes and got back three $1 UPs (Limit 3) = $2.24 profit
  • Got2B Styler (excluding glue) $4.99, used $2 coupon (Sept. or Oct. All You magazine) and will get back $4.99 (SCR #62 - valid 11/25 - 11/27 only) = $2 profit
  • AMO Complete Multi-Purpose Solution (12 oz) $7.99, used $2 coupon (Safeway coupon booklet) and will get back $7.99 (SCR #82) = $2 profit
  • Motrin PM (20 ct.) $4, used $2 coupon (Nov. All You magazine) or $1 coupon (or 7/18 SS or 8/29 RP) and $1 RA coupon and will get back $2 (SCR) = $1 profit to FREE
  • 2 Tugaboos $0.79 each ($0.99 reg price), used two $1 coupons (from inside package) = $0.42 profit
  • 2 candy bars $0.50 each, got back $1 UP (WYB 2) = FREE
  • Fleece blanket $1.99, got back $1 UP = $0.99
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon, $1 UP, $3 UP and $3 UP, total was $1.52, overall profit $11.46
Then I bought:
  • Colgate Total Advanced Toothpaste $1.77, used $1 coupon (11/14 SS), $1 RA coupon and should have received $1 UP but it didn't print = $0.23 profit (Would have been $1.23 profit if the UP had printed)
  • 2 Tugaboos $0.79 each ($0.99 reg price), used two $1 coupons (from inside package) = $0.42 profit
  • 5 Vaseline Intensive Care Lotions $2.99 each, used five $1 coupons (or 11/14 RP) and got back five $2 UPs = FREE/$0.05 profit
  • 2 candy bars $0.50 each, got back $1 UP (WYB 2) = FREE
  • Philips 3 Device Remote Control or Earbuds $4.99, will get back $4.99 (SCR #24) = FREE
  • 4 Campbell's Chunky Soups $1.50 each, used two $1 off 2 coupons and got back two $1 UPs (WYB 2) = $2 or $0.50 each
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon, five $1 UP's, total was $10.53, overall profit $2.46 - this is without the $1 UP for Colgate, so I think I'm just going to let that go.
Be on the lookout for this coupon book at CVS. Inside is a card for $4 EB when you spend $20 (limit one per card).

The Calm Before the Storm

Are you all resting up for your Black Friday shopping too? My plan is to hit as many stores as I can on Thanksgiving and head back out to finish everything up Friday. Rite Aid's Gift of Savings program starts Friday 11/26, but I'm worried that if I wait until then to do my RA shopping, the items I want will be out of stock.

CVS - these were tricky things to find. At one store, I found the Advil and not the Excedrin. At another, I found the Excedrin and not the Advil. At the third, I was able to find both, but that was only because I ran into a very nice manager who hunted around in the back for the Excedrin. She kept trying to tell me that the sale on Excedrin didn't start until later in the week. Maybe stores aren't putting them out yet and that's why they are hard to find? Have you all had better luck than me?
  • 11/21 - 11/24 - Advil PM (4 ct) $0.99, got back $0.99 EB (Limit 1) = FREE
  • 11/21 - 11/24 - Excedrin Migraine, PM or Extra Strength (8 ct) $0.99, got back $0.99 EB (Limit 1) = FREE
I didn't have any EB's small enough for these, so I used a money card I have from a return to pay.

  • 2 Tugaboos Diapers $0.79 each ($0.99 reg. price, 20% Wellness discount), used two $1 coupons (found inside package) = $0.42 profit

Almost Totally Free Diapers

Rite Aid - my card
  • Advil $3.59 ($4.49 reg price, 20% Wellness), used freebie coupon (home mailer, cashier took off $4.49) = $0.90 profit
  • 2 Tugaboos $0.79 each ($0.99 reg price, 20% Wellness), used two $1 coupons (found inside package) = $0.42 profit
  • 4 Aussie Sham/Cond/Stylers $2.99 each, used two $1 off 2 coupons (10/10 P&G) and got back four $2 UPs = $1.96
  • Huggies Jumbo Pack Little Snugglers Diapers $8.99, used $2.50 coupon and got back $3 UP = $3.49
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon ten $1 UP's, total was $0.62, overall profit $0.38
Then on DBF's card, we got:
  • Cottonelle Wipes $2.69 ($2.99 reg price, 10% Wellness), used freebie coupon (home mailer, cashier took off $2.99) = $0.30 profit
  • 2 Tugaboos $0.89 each ($0.99 reg price, 10% Wellness), used two $1 coupons (found inside package) = $0.79*
  • 4 Aussie Sham/Cond/Stylers $2.99 each, used two $1 off 2 coupons (10/10 P&G) and got back four $2 UPs = $1.96
  • Huggies Jumbo Pack Little Movers Diapers $8.99, used $2.50 coupon and got back $3 UP = $3.49
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon ten $1 UP's, total was $2.43
*When the cashier rang me up, she manually entered in the Tugaboos coupons for the price of the items. No problem. My total was a bit higher than I thought it should be, so before we left, I checked it and realized she rang in the second coupon as an item - see the Merchandise non-taxable $0.89 line? I showed it to her and she argued with me for a bit until the manager saw and came over. They gave me $0.89 in cash to make up for it, no apologies or anything. But I just realized I should have been given another $0.89. The $0.89 they gave me just voided out the $0.89 item she rang up, so the coupon was never applied to the order. Oh well, at least its not a big chunk of change, just annoying. This cashier has managed to mess up every order I've done with her. And each time its in a different way!

Anyone Got Some Cheese?

Oh boy, that's a whole lotta crackers! I submit rebates at three addresses, so I did this deal thrice.

Rite Aid - my card
  • 10 Kellogg's Crackers and Cookies $1.99 each, used $1 off 2 RA coupon (Oct. Video Values) and four $1 off 2 coupons (some for crackers, some for cookies, found inside coupon booklet found in stores), got back $1 UP for each and will submit for $10 rebate (WYB 10 items in a single transaction) = $5 profit
  • 2 Tugaboos $0.79 each ($0.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), used two $1 coupons (found inside package) = $0.42 profit
  • 6 Milky Way bars $0.50 each
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon, $1 UP, four $2 UP's and $2.99 UP, total was $1.49, overall profit $6.52
Was planning to use a $4 off $20 coupon but I realized after the cashier scanned all my items that the coupon was for my boyfriend's Wellness card. The candy bars were the closest thing to grab to get my total up to $25. Wish I'd realized it beforehand. I could have picked up a Nivea or something else for free.

DBF's card
  • 10 Kellogg's Crackers and Cookies $1.99 each, used $1 off 2 RA coupon (Oct. Video Values) and four $1 off 2 coupons (some for crackers, some for cookies, found inside coupon booklet found in stores), got back $1 UP for each and will submit for $10 rebate (WYB 10 items in a single transaction) = $5 profit
  • 2 Tugaboos $0.89 each ($0.99 reg price, 10% Wellness discount), used two $1 coupons (found inside package) = $0.42 profit
  • Used $4 off $20 coupon (Oct. Video Values), two $1 UP's, $2 UP and $2.99 UP, total was $3.69, overall profit $9.32
Finally again on my card:
  • 10 Kellogg's Crackers and Cookies $1.99 each, used $1 off 2 RA coupon (Oct. Video Values) and four $1 off 2 coupons (some for crackers, some for cookies, found inside coupon booklet found in stores), got back $1 UP for each and will submit for $10 rebate (WYB 10 items in a single transaction) = $5 profit
  • 2 Tugaboos $0.89 each ($0.99 reg price, 10% Wellness discount), used two $1 coupons (found inside package) = $0.42 profit
  • Nivea Men's Body Wash $3.99, used $3 coupon and got back $1 UP = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon, ten $1 UP's, total was $1.47, overall profit $9.53
Here's a shot of the coupon/rebate booklet. There are two rebates inside - one good 11/1 - 11/30 and one good 12/1 - 12/31. There are also tons of coupons included. I found mine on a freestanding display of Kellogg's crackers and cookies. It was shaped like a car or something I think. Hope you're able to find them too!

Not Quite as Planned

I purposely waited until today to do my RA shopping so that my UP's would be good until Thanksgiving/Black Friday. Alas, neither store I went to had the low dose Bufferin I was looking for ($3 coupon & TMF rebate in 10/17 SS) so it threw off my plans a bit. Here's what I got:

My card
  • Dr. Scholl's Fast Flats $7.99 ($9.99 reg price, 20% Wellness discount), used $2 in-circular coupon (p. 7), $4 RA coupon (Oct. Video Values) and $4 coupon (Oct. All You magazine) = $2.01 profit
  • Crest Whitening plus Scope Outlast Toothpaste (4 oz) $2.99, used $0.75 coupon (10/10 P&G) and got back $2.99 UP = $0.75 profit *Limit on this deal is one
  • 2 Tugaboos Diapers $0.79 each ($0.99 reg. price, 20% Wellness discount), used two $1 coupons (found inside package) = $0.42 profit
  • Nivea Men's Body Wash $3.99, used $3 coupon and got back $1 UP = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • Total was $1.08 - too low to use any of the UP's I had!
DBF's card
  • Crest Whitening plus Scope Outlast Toothpaste (4 oz) $2.99, used $0.75 coupon (10/10 P&G) and got back $2.99 UP = $0.75 profit *Limit on this deal is one
  • Kellogg's Crackers $1.99, got back $1 UP = $0.99
  • EPT Pregnancy Test (for a friend, don't all freak out on me haha) $10.99, used $5 coupon (9/12 SS) and got back $2 UP = $3.99
  • Used $7 UP and three $1 UP's, total was $1.20
Buying the crackers got me thinking, you could use these towards the $10 rebate that's out now! The forms are available in select stores (I found mine at ShopRite) or ebay. You get back $10 when you buy 10 qualifying items in one transaction. So you could buy 10 cookies or crackers for $1.99 each, use a $4 off $20 Video Values or $5/$25 coupon (you'd have to pick up a filler or two) and the $1 off 2 Oct. Video Values coupon if you have that. You'd get back ten $1 UP's, so $5.90 with the $4/$20 or $4.90 with the $5/$25. Then with the $10 rebate, you've got a small moneymaker! I'm going to try this tomorrow. The challenge will be finding a store with 10 items in stock.

Mostly Deja Vu

Ooh, sorry for the glare. That's some shiny Excedrin! You've seen most of this before, but off we go...

Walgreens
  • 2 Vicks Nyquil Sinex $5 each, used two $4 coupons (10/10 P&G) and got back $5 RR (WYB 2) = $3 profit
  • 3 bags WAG cheese $1.50 each with in-circular coupon (threw these in the fridge when I got home and forgot to take out for the pic)
  • Used $6 RR, total was $0.50

Then with the same cashier, I bought two more Vicks...no RR. I have no idea why it didn't print. The machine was on and obviously worked since I'd just gotten a RR for the same items. The manager came over and gave me a song and dance about how I'd used coupons to pay, blah blah blah, my total was only $2, blah blah blah, I can't get a RR for more than my total, blah blah blah. I asked him if he could re-ring my items on another register and he tried, but couldn't get the return to work right. He ended up re-ringing them on the first register and the RR printed. I was hoping he would have redone the transaction so I could have showed him that using coupons doesn't affect the RR's printing, but he just rang them through without using my coupons. Oh well, I got my RR so I'm happy. He probably wouldn't have believed me anyway.

Used up the last of my Vicks and Zarbee's coupons on this transaction:

  • Zarbee's Children's Cough Syrup (4 oz) $5.99, used $3 coupon (printable, no longer available) and got back $6 RR = $3.01 profit
  • 2 Vicks Sinex $5 each, used two $4 coupons (10/10 P&G) and got back $5 RR (WYB 2) = $3 profit
  • Mac & Cheese $1.67
  • Used $6 RR, total was $0.66

CVS - returned the AZO I bought on 10/31 and got back $6.99 on a money card. Then I bought:

  • Cold Buster Honey Lemon Cough Syrup (4 oz) $8.99, got back $8.99 EB (Limit 1) = FREE
  • Used $1 EB and $5 EB, total was $2.99

*This is a hidden deal/not in the circular but is marked in a lot of stores.

ShopRite

  • 2 Excedrins (24 ct) $2.49 each, used two $1 coupons (10/17 SS) and got back $3 cat (WYB 2) = FREE/$0.01 profit

On one transaction, I bought a Peppermint Patty for $0.69 as a filler. On the other two trips, I used SR bags for $0.88 each. I used a $3 cat each time to pay, so my OOP was $0.67 for the candy and $0.88 for the bags. I found a bunch of peelies in one store, so I can pick up even more of these. Excedrin's my favorite so I don't mind stocking up quite a bit.
