Random Money Stuff

  • Increased my monthly Roth IRA contributions from $90 to $120 and increased my monthly contributions to my 401(k) plan from 9% of my salary to 10%. Yay!

I also had some big expenses this month. I took the kitties in to get their teeth checked and for a check-up. That plus food and medicine ran me about $300. My car overheated and started smoking last Wednesday, turns out my water pump cracked and died. I just had that replaced a year ago, right before I stopped going to this one mechanic because I think he was scamming me. This part should have lasted longer, but since its been a year, there's really nothing I can do. Grr. Cost = $510. I also got a ticket for talking on my cell phone while driving = $54. The police officer gave me a ticket for the (as he called them) "doo-dads" hanging from my mirror instead of the cell phone ticket, which would have been upwards of $100.

Catalina Craziness

Sorry about the pic, a little too much back lighting going on there.

ShopRite

I Got Out!

My sister came over and rescued me from cabin fever. My car broke down yesterday, and I can't go anywhere until I get it fixed.

ShopRite
  • 4 Post cereals $1 each, used $4 off 4 coupon (Holiday Savings coupon booklet found at SR) and got back $3 catalina = $3 profit
  • 2 Solo Cups $1.39, used two $0.75 coupons (doubled fully for some reason, 1/24 SS) = $0.22 profit
  • Baby carrots $1.69 - will use these plus the cold cuts I bought to submit for a $20 rebate
  • Total was $1.46

Had my sister buy me four more Posts = $3 profit

The kitties demanded a photo shoot today. They told me that the sunlight reflecting off all the snow provided perfect lighting to show off their features.
Gotta love the little white chin.
Umm, guys? Can you scooch down so I can sit on the couch too? Guys?
My aren't we looking glossy and fabulous today!

Dannon Activia Settlement

Ok, so in a nutshell, there was a lawsuit against the Dannon folks for false advertising. If you purchased this yogurt previously, you can read all about it and submit a claim form here to get $15-$30 back (no receipt necessary). If you purchased more than $30, you'd have to provide a receipt.

The Cabin Fever is Getting Me

Photobomb. That's all I'm gonna say.

Woah

This was the view from my balcony earlier in the week. The snow always builds up in drifts on my balcony and usually doesn't completely melt until the spring. I take my patio furniture inside before the winter really kicks in because once we get a good storm, I can't open the screen door to even attempt to get out there.
Mousse loves to sit in front of the door and watch the snow shift around. He'll jump up on the door and poke the snow, then jump back in surprise when it has the nerve to move. He was being camera shy this day, but I wanted to post this shot anyway to give you a little perspective.
Would...you...look...AT...THIS!?!?
This is the view I got when I opened my door this morning. There's barely any sunlight even getting through!

I was able to print up to six coupons on one account just by hitting back) and get back $25 gift card (SCR #552, WYB $50 worth) = negative $0.06 at the register and $24.97 profit after rebate *I would NOT recommend buying all 12 at once.

General Printable Rebate Offers

***Although you can do this rebate three times, each $5 rebate has to be mailed separately (yuck). Be careful how you purchase your items so you have enough receipts.

Fur Fighters - What a Great Name!

Go here to sign up for a free account. Then once you've done that, sign in, click on Coupons & Offers to print a $5 rebate on any Jennie-O Turkey Store product. This rebate is only valid for a certain number of people, so it will go fast!

Target - thanks for the tip on these Precious! There are two sizes for the fur fighters, one with two refills and one with five refills. The two refill package is on the one on sale and I found them on endcaps, not with the five refill size and other lint rollers.
  • 5 Scotch Fur Fighters (2 refill package) $3.99 each, used five $4 coupons = FREE *These all beeped, but the error message said the coupon wasn't for the right item. The cashiers verified that I bought the right thing and overrode it. This happens so often at Target with coupons that I think they're all pretty used to it.
  • Total was $1.40 (tax)

Bought four more at another store (gave one to my mom before I shot the pic)

CVS

  • 2 DiGiorno Pizzas - used raincheck from last week to get them for BOGO $0.01 = $7 for both, used $1 coupon (1/24 SS) = $6
  • Used $5 EB and $0.30 on a money card, paid $0.70 cash - this is the first time I've had to fork over actual money at CVS in ages! I had another gift card at home, but forgot to bring it with me to the store. I redeem the cashback rewards that I earn on my Discover card for $40 giftcards and get a $5 bonus - free CVS money!

Will submit for the DiGiorno rebate - buy one, get a coupon for a second one for free (Exp. 2/28). I also picked up a raincheck for another Physician's Formula Bamboo Wear Compact. I've bought one on each of my cards already, so this is a bit sneaky. I have three addresses I can submit rebates to, so I'll pick this up in a couple weeks, get the EB's back and submit for another rebate. The cashiers have to manually print the EB's on raincheck items, so it will be ok that I bought them already.

Walgreens

  • Excedrin Menstral Complete Express Gels (20 - 24 ct) $2.50, used freebie coupon (DON'T pick Excedrin as your answer, coupon is mailed to you) and got back $2 RR (monthly deal) = $2 profit
Just saw on Jamie's blog that you can do the survey again, select Excedrin as your answer and get a $2 coupon (you can print it right away). :)

A Case of the Mondays

I'm tired, I have a headache and I didn't want to go to work today. Yup, its gotta be Monday.
First I went to RiteAid to get the Lamisil. It wasn't in my circular and there were no $7.99 Lamisil items at the store. I thought I had the right item and had spent a good amount of time in the store getting my other items, only to get shot down at the register.
Then I did some other shopping and it was one of those days where I had to hunt and hunt for each item. I must have stared at every bottle of pain reliever in all of Walgreens before I found the right Excedrin.

Walgreens
  • Excedrin Menstral Complete Express Gels (20 - 24 ct) $2.50, used $2 coupon (no longer available) and got back $2 RR (monthly deal) = $1.50 profit
  • Softsoap Hand Soap $0.99 with in-circular coupon, used $0.50 coupon (March All You magazine - can also print a $0.35 coupon) = $0.49
  • Starburst jellybeans $2
  • Royal Pudding $0.25 with in-circular coupon
  • Used two $1.50 RR's, total was $0.45

Then I bought a second Excedrin on its own: Excedrin Menstral Complete Express Gels (20 - 24 ct) $2.50, used $2 coupon (no longer available) and got back $2 RR (monthly deal) = $1.50 profit

Rite Aid
  • Lamisil AT Gel (12 g/0.42 oz) $7.99, used $3 coupon (12/13 SS) and will get back $6 (SCR #46) = $1.01 profit
  • Dulcolax $7.99, used $3 coupon on bottle and will submit for $5 rebate (also on bottle) = FREE/$0.01 profit
  • Finesse shampoo $2.99, will get back $2 (SCR #60) = $0.99
  • 2 Febreze Sprays $4.99 each, used $1 coupon (2/7 P&G) and BOGO coupon (1/17 P&G *this is for a free 500 mL WYB a 800 mL but the store didn't carry the 500 mL size, it went through with no beeps) and will get back $2 (SCR #95, Limit 1) = $1.99 for both
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon (this coupon was taken down, but I have a saved copy. If you'd like it, just email me at frugalsuz@hotmail.com), total was $12.52. Overall profit for transaction = $2.48

CVS - DBF's card

  • Physician's Formula Bamboo Wear Compact, Mirror and Brush $6.99, used $5 peelie coupon, got back $5 EB (Limit 1) and will submit for TMF rebate (have to include rebate sticker from package with your rebate) = $10 profit
  • Earinse $7.99, got back $7.99 EB (Limit 1) = FREE
  • Stamps $8.80
  • Used $4 off $20 coupon, $1 EB and $5 EB, total was $9.17 - paid with gift card

This was the first time ever that a cashier wouldn't let me use EB's towards the stamps. They are excluded on EB's, so its perfectly legit. She used enough so that my total got around $9 and then cut me off. No big deal, but it was interesting that she caught it.

CVS - my card

  • Physician's Formula Bamboo Wear Compact, Mirror and Brush $6.99, used $5 peelie coupon, got back $5 EB (Limit 1) and will submit for TMF rebate (have to include rebate sticker from package with your rebate) = $10 profit
  • Earinse $7.99, got back $7.99 EB (Limit 1) = FREE
  • Used $1.50 EB and $7 EB, total was $1.97

I also tried and failed on a potential deal at CVS. There's a deal on Olay Definity Facial Care - buy 2, get back $12 EB (Limit 1). The circular says the whole facial care line is included, so it got me to wondering if the face washes, which are usually around $6 - $7, would count. The two stores I went to to get the stuff above were totally out, so I was thinking I was on to something. I found one bottle at the third store I tried, used the $3 Definity coupon (1/17 P&G) and....nothing. It didn't list on my receipt that I'd bought anything for this deal, so its a no-go. I'll return this bottle and get my money back. Oh well!

On a random note, I've been looking everywhere for the MyKidz Comfort Patches to use the Try Me Free rebate from the 1/10 RP. Has anyone found these?

Always Read the Fine Print

Update again! I just remembered that as I was preparing a bunch of rebates to be mailed yesterday, I ran out of stamps just as I got to the cheese rebate, so I haven't sent in my paperwork afterall. I'm going to send away for this $20 rebate and see what happens.

GRR! So let's now call this is a "double goof." I have been trying to find Fresh Deli items, and I can't find anything about the brand. I decided to look on HCW to see if anyone else is having this problem and someone called Heineken and confirmed that you CAN buy any old deli meat for this rebate. That would be wonderful news...except that this morning, I sent off this receipt for the $5 cheese rebate instead! lol I just can't win today. Here's the HCW thread.

So...I goofed today. I bought a Heineken rebate (on ebay) for $20 off when you buy $25 of fresh deli products (plus beer, but NJ doesn't require that you buy alcohol for these kind of rebates). Stoked for such a great deal, I headed off to the supermarket and bought a smidge over $29 worth of cheese and meat at the deli. Then I got home, set up my goodies, snapped the shot below and then set about filling out the rebate form. That's when I realized it was for $25 worth of Fresh Deli products, meaning Fresh Deli is a brand, a product line, a company, not as I had thought, a suggestion for what you should purchase. Sigh. $29 is a whole lotta money to spend on cold cuts!
Its not like I can return them, so I just have to eat the mistake, literally (hardy har har!). On a happier note, I had bought a couple of rebate forms, and one is for $5 off meat or cheese. So I'll submit for that rebate and get some of the money back. And DBF's mom thinks her store (Pathmark) carries Fresh Deli items, so I might still be able to do the rebate. Thank goodness cold cuts freeze well!
Go here to sign up for a FREE subscription to Rouge, a magazine published by P&G that includes coupons! Free subscription? Coupons? You know I'm all over it!

Target - looks like this is the last week for the Gillette gift card deal, word is its not in next week's circular. My good friend dancinmama sent me 21 coupons (thank you!), and I put them to good use today.

First Store
  • 4 Gillette Power razors (has to be the power variety, last week the manual varieties were on sale) $6.99 each, used four $4 coupons (2/7 P&G) and got back a $5 Target gift card for every 2 razors I bought
  • Diet Snapple 6 pack $4.99, used $1 coupon (1/31 SS) and will submit for Try Me Free rebate (tearpad rebate found at Walgreens) = $1 profit (assuming the Snapple folks give me back $4.99. The receipt clearly lists the $1 coupon right under the item)
  • Total was $17.56, paid with gift cards from previous Gillette purchases so nothing OOP

Second Store

  • 10 Gillette Power razors $6.99 each, used ten $4 coupons (2/7 P&G) and got back a $5 Target gift card for every 2 razors I bought
  • Total was $33.04, paid $24.57 in Target gift cards and $8.47 cash

Third Store

  • 6 Gillette Power razors $6.99 each, used six $4 coupons (2/7 P&G) and got back a $5 Target gift card for every 2 razors I bought
  • Total was $19.83, paid with Target gift cards, nothing OOP

I also stopped by two CVS's today and found one that was out of stock on the DiGiorno pizzas. Hoorah! I got a raincheck for four pizzas at BOGO for $0.01. Now when I get my coupons for two free pizzas (rebate info in this post), I'll use them at CVS along with this raincheck to get four pizzas for $0.02. All in all, I'll have bought eight pizzas and paid only $13.98 or $1.74 each.

ShopRite
  • One pound Swiss cheese $5.99/lb = $5.87
  • Will submit for $5 meat or cheese rebate (Irish beer rebate - Smirnoff, Guinness, Harp or Smithwick's)

At Kohls - shower curtain liner - says it won't ever get mildew, we'll see about that. The ventilation in my bathroom is horrible. $19.99 reg price, on sale for $13.99 and used $10 Kohl's cash. Total was $4.27. This won't go into my grocery budget, but I was excited to get it for so cheap.

I will submit for the Digiorno rebate floating around now - buy one, get a coupon for a second one for free. I couldn't find this rebate form in my area, but thanks to trusty ebay, its on the way to me now. This was the last cheese pizza the store had so I got a raincheck for two more. My freezer is jam-packed, so this gives me a little time to free up some room, buy two more and do a second rebate.

Lurking Beneath the Surface

Its Friday and you know what that means - more frugalsuz Fun Friday Fotos! (woot woot!)
Four of my lovely aunts posing for the camera. Lordy, look at all that gorgeous hair! But wait, one of these things just doesn't belong.
Hair pulled back? Button down shirt instead of a turtleneck? You better close those eyes to avoid the dirty look your sister is throwing your way! (BTW "collar" is the "grape" aunt)
What do you suppose they're looking at?
Aha!
"Hey check it out bro, she's got her hair pulled back!" says doofster with the red jacket. "Yeah man, that's hilarious" the unfortunately plaid-jacketed fellow replies. Mr. Cool looks upon the scene with amusement in his eyes. "Chicks" he thinks to himself.
No, my father bears absolutely no resemblance to James Lipton. Why do you ask? Moving on...
And finally, to finish out this Friday Foto Fiasco, one last gem for you to ponder. Innocent enough, a happy party. My grandmother (bottom left) sure seems to be having a little chuckle with Mr. Yellow Jacket (no idea who that is). But wait, is that a 'stache I see?
"Who's a sexy bitch?"

Living in a Shavers Paradise

Target - be sure to follow Queen's Target rules of coupon usage and give your coupons in alphabetical order - first BOGO, then manufacturer's coupons, then Target coupons.
  • 6 Gillette Venus Embrace Razors $6.99 each, used six $2 coupons (2/7 P&G) and got back a $5 Target gift card for every 2 razors I bought = $14.94
  • 6 Olay Total Effects body washes $5.49 each, used six FREE coupons (WYB Gillette Venus razor, 2/7 P&G) and got back a $5 Target gift card for every 3 bottles I bought = $10 profit
  • Total was $26.30 and I got back $25 in gift cards, so a total cost of $1.30

Then at another store, I bought:

  • 10 Gillette Fusion Manual Razors $6.99 each, used ten $4 coupons (2/7 P&G) and got back a $5 Target gift card for every 2 razors I bought
  • Total was $33.04 and I got back $25 in gift cards, so a total cost of $8.04 or $0.80 a razor

The store had tons of these razors and I didn't even come close to cleaning them out. I have 16 more coupons to use, so I'll be back. Even with tax included, this deal is cheaper than buying the razors at CVS or Walgreens, and I can buy lots at once, eliminating the need for multiple transactions.

I'm also going to use these receipts to send away for two $100 P&G coupon booklets (WYB $50 of P&G items). P&G did this same rebate last year and some of the coupons were just ok, but some were great. Its definitely worth saving all those receipts and sending away for it.

Athos, Porthos or Aramis?

Walgreens
  • 2 Kotex Maxi Pads (14-24 ct) $3 each, used $2 off 2 coupon (1/10 SS), got back $3 RR (WYB 2) and will submit for $4 Panty Challenge = $3 profit
  • Super Poligrip Original (0.75 oz) $2, used $1 coupon (1/3 RP) and got back $2 RR = $1 profit
  • Walgreens raisins $1

Then I bought

  • Schick Quattro Titanium Razor $8.99, got back $3 RR and will send away for Try Me Free rebate (2/7 SS) = $3 profit

  • Total was $1.24

At another store I repeated this transaction but used a $3 Schick RR (duh!) so the new one didn't print. I didn't realize what happened at first, but a manager voided the transaction and I bought everything again minus the $3 RR. They let me keep both $1.50 RR's.

  • Schick Quattro Titanium Razor $8.99, got back $3 RR and will send away for Try Me Free rebate (2/7 SS) = $3 profit

Rite Aid - these are hard to find at RA. Seems like the stores have been putting them on endcaps, not with the body wash so be sure to look around.

I didn't get papers today (will buy my coupons online). Can anyone confirm for me that this razor will qualify for this rebate?

I got back some rebates this week - $70 for a McAfee rebate and two $9.99 Bioluxe rebates. They all came as prepaid gift cards so DBF and I used two to get two free Redbox movies (use code - DVDONME). You can use the code multiple times, as long as you use different credit cards each time.

  • Milk $2.04
  • 2 English muffins $1.99 each

  • Used two $10 RR's, total was $3.40

This transaction was a bit of a mess

  • Vitamin Water Lip Care $1.99 (Acai 0.14 0z., Dragon Fruit 0.14 oz., Fruit Punch 0.14 oz., Lemonade 0.14 oz or Strawberry Kiwi 0.14 oz.), got back $2 RR = FREE/$0.01 profit

  • Used two $10 RR's, total was $4.01

When I opened up the Hanes, I was very surprised to see how itty-bitty these things are! My boyfriend was convinced I'd bought kids underwear by accident. These are streeeetttttccccchhhhhyyyyyy! Not very comfortable though. I don't think I'll be buying any more any time soon.

Moneymaking Candy

Kmart - was chatting with the nicest lady in line today. As we were waiting, a cashier came over to me and told me to go to her line (she was just opening her register) but the lady behind me scooted over and cut me off. I sighed and stayed where I was. The woman who was then behind me sighed too and said - well, wasn't that nice? Another register was open to the right of us with an elderly woman ringing people up. She said - you should go over to that line. I said, that's ok, why don't you go? She says (quietly) - I have to pay with a check and I'm afraid I'll confuse her! (the cashier was struggling to ring up her current customer) I told her that I was afraid my coupons might put her into a tizzy and I was afraid to go to her line also. haha Saw this deal on Queen's blog
  • 4 Hershey's Pieces candies (found near register in a special display, not with the candy) $2 each, used three $1 coupons (1/31 SS) = $7.70 total
  • Register printed a rebate form for a "$10 Kmart gift card towards the purchase of Hershey's" (strange huh?) = $2.30 profit

Repeated to do rebate under DBF's address, although the rebate says its a limit of 4 per address. Just looks like you have to send each form in separately. Rebate is good until 2/6.

Walgreens

  • Bayer Contour Blood Glucose Meter $14.99, used freebie coupon (10/25 RP) and got back $10 RR = $10 profit (then bought another one separately)

Finally used up a $5 raincheck I've had since last April. It was unusual for the manager to give me this, so other stores have been reluctant to take it and I rarely go to this particular store.

  • 5 x 7 picture frame - clearanced to $6.59, $1.59 after the raincheck and $1.70 with tax
I've still been doing a lot of Kohl's shopping, using up the 20 $5 coupons I bought on ebay. I also got a 15% coupon in my email today, and you can use that along with the $5 coupon! When I got to the store today, I was so psyched to see that they're running a promo on top of all that - spend $50, get back $10 Kohl's cash. It was like the perfect storm of Kohl's coupons. I picked up these pants (my fav brand) for $29.99 and this cute top for $24.99 and headed over to the registers. Unfortunately, the 15% coupon is valid starting tomorrow (duh!) so I wasn't able to use it. My total was $49.98 and I got back the $10 cash - that's valid starting 2/7. I'll make some more trips tomorrow and Saturday to use up my coupons (they expire 2/6).

No Snappy Title 2/7 - 2/13

As always, my deals all come from the wonderful folks at HCW, Slick Deals and Erica at iheartcvs.com, iheartriteaid.com and iheartwags.com.

Target - better deal on these razors than CVS or Walgreens

For some of these items, the limits have been increased, but if you try to buy all of them at once (ie. buy 6 Soy Joy's at once), you won't get all the EB's. To be on the safe side, try to buy one at a time once you're past the limit listed on the label.

  • Nature's Bounty Your Life Multi-vitamins (90 ct) $9.99 each, Fish Oil or Vitamin D (120 count) $9.99 - $7.99 each, BOGO sale, use two $5 coupons and get back $3 EB (WYB 2, Limit 6) = $5.01 to $3.01 profit depending on which you buy

  • Oust Surface Disinfectant & Air Sanitizer $3.99, buy two and use $2 off 2 coupon or BOGO coupon (1/3 SS) and get back $3 EB (Limit 6) = $0.02 profit or $2.01 profit depending on coupon *Also qualifies for $5 SC Johnson rebate (WYB 3, Limit 3 offers per household)
  • Soyjoy $6, use $2 off 10 coupon (you'd have to buy 2 boxes to use this, 1/3 SS) get back $6 EB (Limit 6) = $2 profit or FREE without coupon

Where's the Beef?

...still at the store 'cause all I bought was chicken! haha

A couple folks have asked me about the Staples Rewards for buying Duracell batteries back in December. I got my rewards today and DBF got his yesterday, so hopefully they're all in the mail now. Speaking of rebates, I got my Bioluxe rebate back already! I mailed that in on 1/8 and got it yesterday. It came as a Visa prepaid gift card, so I can use it anywhere, not just CVS. I'm thinking I'm going to turn it into a Rite Aid gift card.
ShopRite - bought all this stuff yesterday but after my sister and I enjoyed the three hour Lost-a-thon, I was too tired to post. I hope you can all forgive me. :)
  • 4 Mission tortillas $1.49 each, used four $0.75 coupons (1/10 SS) = FREE
  • 4 Perdue Turkey Meatballs $1.84 each, used four $0.75 coupons (database shows these were from the 12/6 RP but expired on 1/31, I had no problems using them though!) = $1.36 or $0.34 each
  • 3 Perdue Short Cuts $2.49, used three $0.75 coupons (1/10 RP) = $2.97 or $0.99 each
  • 5 bags Perdue chicken breasts/strips/nuggets $2.99 each
  • 2 Bugles $1.50 each - total impulse buy, I was hungry!
  • Golden Delicious apples $0.99/lb = $1.73
  • Grapes $0.99/lb = $3.28
  • SR Muenster cheese $2.35
  • 2 Portuguese rolls $0.55 each
  • Got $0.15 bag discount, total was $29.49

CVS - DBF's card

  • 2 Dove Men's Care body washes $5.49 each, used two $1.75 coupons (for bar soap but same code as the bottle so no beeps, cashier may veto these in which case you could use the $1.25 coupon in same insert - 1/31 RP), got back $10.98 EB ($5.49 each, Limit 2) = $3.50 profit
  • Used $1 EB and $6 EB, total was $1.25

Repeated this same transaction on my card today:

Walgreens - today was a stressful day at work, hence the snacks. I could have spent my RR's on something that would give me more RR's in return, but I just didn't feel like it. It took all my energy to stop here on the way home. I was looking for more Bayer meters but the store was out.
  • 2 Tostitos $2 each
  • Red Baron pizza $2.50
  • Walgreens $10 gift card
  • Used $5 RR and $10 RR, total was $1.50 *Buying gift cards with RR's is very YMMV

There's a new Physician's Formula rebate available for the Bamboo Compacts, but you have to have the Try Me Free sticker from the package. Why do they do that anyway? So annoying. I've spotted them at Rite Aid and CVS and the peelies go fast, so if you see them, snag them. That way, you can do the rebate when you want to.

Converting my GOS to Cash

Rite Aid - did two transactions, one for my rebates and one for my boyfriend's rebates
  • Blink Gel Tears or Complete Solution $7.99, used $2 coupon (1/31 RP) and will get back $7.99 (SCR #45) = $2 profit
  • Advil Liqui-Gels (40 ct) $4.49, used $2 coupon (or 1/31 RP) and will get back $1 (SCR #24) = $1.49
  • Profoot Insoles three for $15, used two $1 coupons (couldn't find any with peelie coupons) and will get back $10 (SCR #40, WYB 3) = $3
  • Colgate Total Advanced or Total Enamel Strength Toothpaste (4 oz) $2.99, used $0.75 coupon (1/3 SS) and will get back $2 (SCR #3) = $0.24
  • Rite Aid scrubber sponges $1.99
  • York peppermint pattie $0.88, will submit for this rebate to get a coupon for a free bag of Pieces candy
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon and $20 GOS (from previous rebate), total was $1.59

Then I bought:

  • Blink Gel Tears or Complete Solution $7.99, used $2 coupon (1/31 RP) and will get back $7.99 (SCR #45) = $2 profit
  • Snapple 6 pack $5.99, used $1 coupon (1/31 SS) and will submit for Try Me Free rebate (tearpad rebate found at Walgreens) = $1 profit
  • Advil Liqui-Gels (40 ct) $4.49, used $2 coupon (or 1/31 RP) and will get back $1 (SCR #24) = $1.49
  • Profoot Insoles three for $15 (couldn't find any with peelie coupons) and will get back $10 (SCR #40, WYB 3) = $5
  • Colgate Total Advanced or Total Enamel Strength Toothpaste (4 oz) $2.99, used $0.75 coupon (1/3 SS) and will get back $2 (SCR #3) = $0.24
  • Used $5 off $25 coupon and $20 GOS (from previous rebate), total was $5.71

Since I earned the GOS (Gift of Savings) rebates for buying rebate items, they were icing on the cake and pure profit. So when I calculate my savings for these trips, I'm counting them as a coupon rather than a reward. That means my overall profit for transaction one is $19.40 and transaction two is $21.27. Not too shabby!
